All about VIT, Pune

The cirriculum is good because emphasis is on practical knowledge rather than on theory part. Every subject comprises of mini projects along with a main industry driven project every semester to make us industry ready and it helps us understand how things really work in industry.

I am currently in 3rd semester but have no such internship opportunity till now. College offers opportunites from 5th semester and helps students to get internships with decent stipends in well known MNCs.

From 5th semester students are eligible for internships while from 6th-7th semester they are eligible for campus placements. Well known companies visit the placement drive like Barckleys, JP Morgan, TCS, Infosys and many more. Highest package goes upto 50 LPA whereas average package varies from branch to branch but it is between 8-12 lpa

As I am in general catagory that's why I have to pay full fees that is 1,93,000 which is according to me is very much high if we consider the college campus and exceeded crowd dew to more admissions from last year. OBC category students have to pay around 1,15,000, while SC have to pay only 6,000 yearly. If TFWS is applied then around 35,000 you have to pay.

There are three main college flagship events named as VishwaKarandak held in december-january, then comes Crescendo held in february-march and last is Vishwotsav held narly around May. And apart from these all the college clubs conduct their events throughout the year regularly. The range and accessibility of books in library is good and sufficient and also technological facilities are good in the classes and labs. Sports and extracurricular activities take place very often organised by clubs and there are around 80 clubs so you can imagine how the things work throughout the year.

I preferred this college on top of other colleges as this was the best college available at my CET percentile and along with that I wanted to go in the field of statistics and data science and I found that course here that's why I opted for this college. Also VIT, Pune offers decent placements that's why I think I made a good decision by choosing this college.

Faculty student relationship differs from faculty to faculty like some are good and genuinely guide students while some are so rude and don't even care. Talking about exams, semester format is there in which 2 unit tests, 1 mid sem exam and 1 end sem exam is there and marks are distributed accordingly in reviews, presentations, vivas, lab exams and written exams. Different subjects have different marking scheme but the difficulty is of decent level and sometimes depends on subject faculty.

There is no night life as there is no in campus hostel or anything that's most of the students evacuate the campus at 6pm but some parts of the college are open till 9pm so students can stay for study, project work, sports or extra curricular things but overall there's no night life at all.
