Ques. What subject combinations are available in the BA Programme at Kalindi College?

Ans. The BA Programme at Kalindi College offers a wide range of subject combinations. Students can typically choose from subjects such as English, Hindi, Political Science, History, Sociology, Economics, Geography, Philosophy, Psychology, Mathematics, Physical Education, Education, and Public Administration. The specific combinations available each year depend on faculty availability and student demand. Students should check the official DU Bulletin of Information and the Kalindi College prospectus for the exact combinations offered in the admission year.

Ques. What is the difference between BA Programme and BA (Hons.) at Kalindi College?

Ans. The BA Programme (also called BA Pass) is a multidisciplinary course where students study a combination of subjects from different disciplines. The BA (Hons.) is a specialised course focused on a single subject (e.g., BA Hons. English, BA Hons. Political Science), with greater depth in that subject. Under the NEP/UGCF 2022 framework, both are 4-year programmes, but the BA (Hons.) has a more rigorous and focused curriculum in the chosen discipline. Students who want breadth across subjects should opt for BA Programme, while those with a clear subject preference should opt for BA (Hons.).

Ques. Is the BA Programme at Kalindi College recognised for government jobs and competitive exams?

Ans. Yes, the BA Programme from Kalindi College is a University of Delhi degree and is fully recognised by the UGC and all government bodies. Graduates are eligible to apply for government jobs through UPSC, SSC, banking exams, state PSCs, and other competitive examinations that require a graduation degree. The DU brand adds significant value to the degree for both public and private sector opportunities.

Ques. Can I switch from BA Programme to BA (Hons.) after admission at Kalindi College?

Ans. Switching between BA Programme and BA (Hons.) after admission is generally not permitted within the same college. However, under the NEP framework, students may have options to upgrade or change their programme at the end of the first year, subject to seat availability and eligibility. Students should check the latest DU guidelines and the college's academic regulations for the current year before making a decision.

Ques. What are the career options after completing the BA Programme from Kalindi College?

Ans. After completing the BA Programme from Kalindi College, graduates can pursue:

  • Postgraduate programmes such as MA, MBA, LLB, or MCA.

  • Careers in journalism, media, social work, NGOs, and public administration.
  • Corporate roles in administration, marketing, HR, and customer relations.

The DU degree is widely recognised and provides a strong foundation for diverse career paths.

Ques. How many seats are available in the BA Programme at Kalindi College, and is it difficult to get admission?

Ans. Kalindi College offers 289 seats for the BA Programme across various subject combinations. Since admission is based on CUET UG scores and the DU CSAS process, the difficulty of admission depends on the specific subject combination chosen and the number of applicants. Some combinations (e.g., those with Economics or Political Science) tend to be more competitive. Students should aim for a good CUET score and fill in multiple subject combination preferences on the CSAS portal to maximise their chances of admission.

I don't why this question is asked as DU is known for charging less and providing more. Just 11 and a half thousand and that too as I am from general category. Otherwise for lower category and students from poor community even gets a complete waive off in tuition fees and they are left to pay just 1000 odd or something.

I felt that my was quite more than other's but they included that it was for the practical course. Although the facilities provided for my practical course was good. The lab were also maintained and well mannered. The thing that lack in my was clg was. Topmost was washroom I would rate 0 /10 to them. No union or incharges were responsible to take the initiative to solve the issue. Other than this was the college ground. Which was like the barren ground and not maintained till date nor the hostel of the clg. After this is we move to the academic part that was good. For me I appreciate the academically part. And others were not on my bucket list. About the sponsorship I didn't got to know because somehow what I felt was the students were not being provided with all the information.
