Likes

The first thing i like about my college is the placement it provides in the campus
The second thing i liked about the college is its library as we can get almost all the books we need
In the college there are lots of clubs which we can join and sports activities available

Dislikes

The first thing i disliked is the area in which the college is located it is quite an outer side from the city
The one thing which ia bot a big deal but the infrastructure should be improved

Companies visiting campus and packages being offered

Basically from 7th sem you can apply for the placements but from 7th sem end and 8th starting the companies starts to visit the college for campus placements inside the college. So many companies visits the college for the placements but Some of them are TCS Accenture Cognizant Wipro Flipkart and the offers made by them last year was approx 10 lakhs per annum but the average package one can get is nearly about 4.5 lakhs per annum. The placement percentage of the college is quite good as we talk about the previous year it was about 90 percent.

Cultural fests , various clubs and facilities in campus

The Annual Fest and Tech Fest of the college are Riviera and Prayukti and mostly these are held in April. In Library you can get all the types of books related to your courses and even all the novels story books and others you need. The library of the college is quite good. You will get a smart class in almost each rooms of the department you are associated with and the laboratory are also quite good with all the required equipments. There is a good news for the students who are interested in sports in college we have a football ground a crictet ground a volleyball court and a basketball court and many other sports options are available too including indoor sports. There are so many clubs for the students,they can join them according to their interests

Internship opportunity and industry exposure

Basically i am currently a 2nd year student so i haven't got any internship from the college right now but according to the seniors college can provide you internships but it is not necessary that you will get a stipend with your internships you may get free internships as well

Fees structure and scholarship available and eligibility

The fee of the college is nearly about 5 lakhs including hostel charges and you have to pay an additional charge for your foods. The food provided in the canteen is also good in both quantity and quality and the price of the foods in the canteen are also cheaper than the other college canteen. In this college you can get your scholarship as provided by the govt of your states and it depend on which state you are in suppose you are from bihar then you can get a scholarship named DRCC and many other scholarships programme are there which you can avail. In campus there is a good opportunity for students as the college provides campus jobs as well in many big companies like Accenture TCS Wipro Flipkartetc..

Course structure and examination patterns

I have chosen this course because of my interest in coding and i want to explore more in this field. In the college you will get good support from the faculty members as they are very friendly and helpul and you can reach them anytime whenever you need them. You can feel an old teaching style from some of them but the way of teaching is very understandable if you listen to them very carefully. And if i talk about the exams there are basically 3 CAs which will be held almost every 1 to 1.5 months and then in the end there is an Semester exam which is quite hard if you don't study well but if you are dedicated to your studies and pays attention in the class then you can crack them well and can secure a good GPA.

Admission Procedure and eligibility criteria

The eligibility of the course is minimum 45 percent in 10+2 in mathematics physics and chemistry and you must have to be passed in english as well. You should appear in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination also known as WBJEE and must secure a rank of 4000 to avail the course of Computer Science if you are interested. As soon the results get announced you must have to visit the college with the letter which you will get from the e-councelling and you can easily get admission in the college after that.

Before this college I have applied for some new age college and I also got selected in NEXTWAVE INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY jaipur campus for due to some condition I couldn't get in to that college which are 1.high fees 2. It was very new to get a trust 3. My family members were not ready for that college

Okay college and decent placement

Admission:

I choose this college due to affordable fees and the hostel facility near. But I think my desicion was wrong as it is not good engineering college as compared to the other colleges from noida ,ghaziabad and rest cities of India .This is because of followiong parameters that are good in those colleges.1.NO Regular cultural and technical fest. 2.Not any extra co cirricular activities such as dandiya, festive special programs and the main freshers part. 3. There is no farewell given to final year students by the college. 4. No convacation held. 3. No hightech infrastructure and AC classrooms. Next the admission process is to give WBJEE exam get a valid rank and sit for WBJEE counselling through online portal.choose the college through merit and give physical verification and get admission to this college.

LIFE AND LEARNING AT HALDIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Admission:

I applied for various colleges in bihar and up which includes MIT muzaffarpur,nit narula,techno main salt lake and msit but I chose hit haldia over these because I love the campus over here and the placements here are quite decent.The admission process of this college is mainly through WBJEE and JEE score cards while approx 10 percent seats are for direct admission students.

Campus & Environment: The campus is quite spacious and green, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a fully residential college, which creates a close-knit community.
. Infrastructure: The academic buildings, labs, and library are decent and improving every year.
Labs are fairly well-equipped for core engineering branches (like Mechanical, Civil, ECE, and CSE).

Dislikes

Location Limitation: Being in Haldia (a bit away from Kolkata), access to the city’s resources, internships, and industrial exposure can be limited.

In comparision with other private colleges in West Bengal, Haldia Institue Of Technology is the oldest and most popular private college having the bigger campus area and placement opportunites than others. Its fees is also not so highcompared to othrers. For admmission the canditate has to appear in the WBJEE exam and get a good rank also canditates having JEErank card can apply in it.

The best thing of this College u will get bigger campus non of the other private College have that much of campus area in west bengal

Dislikes

U disliked the environment means u in west bengal people mostly follow bengali rituals
I most dislike in this college is environment means you did not get different culture because most of the people come from in that college from Bihar Jharkhand Bengal and up you did not get different culture.

Admission:

I choose these college over any other private college in West Bengal due to their placement ratio due to the campus area in this college the average package about 5 to 6 lakh all the campus area is almost 40 acre means one one of the best private college in West Bengal College have 40 equal campus area if I talk about the admission process basically firstly you give the websit exam and then sit in the WBJEE counselling and from there we get any colleges in West Bengal

there are many good clubs and society for better exposure .
Library is well maintained with large collections of books and proper setting halls.
Amazing campus and social life. the campus is around 49 acers with good sports facilities like football and cricket fields, basket ball, hand ball, badminton, gym, yoga, etc

Dislikes

We have to were college uniforms everyday that may annoy you.

Admission:

As like others i have also tried for iit's and nit's but was unable to clear because of less preperartion and ditd lots of mistake during preperation time. With the tough competion and lack in preperation i was unble to clear. so, I choose HIT for its college infrastructure and better placement compared to other private college in west bengal. It offers a good balance of cost and reputation , faculty quality and decent placement.

Good infrastructure in many respects: the labs library Wi-Fi and computing faculties are above average for a private engineering College.
The campus is spacious, green and relatively peaceful compared to crowded city colleges. Mini students comment that the environment is nice.

Admission:

I choose haldi Institute of Technology because my average WBJEE rank did not allow admission to government colleges or top institute like IIT is or NITS. Among the private colleges I applied to searches Heritage Institute of Technology and techno India, HIT stood out for its affordable fees, good infrastructure, hostel faculties, supportive faculty, disciplined environment and strong placement opportunities. The admission process are simple transparent and best interly on WBJEE counselling overall, HIT offer the best balance of academic campus life and career prospect making it the most suitable choice for my rank and goals.

One of my brothers was placed in a prominent company through on-campus placement. As per his experience, CGPA isn’t required for the process of getting a good job.

He scored 9 CGPA and many of his friends scored less than him yet they were successfully placed in prominent companies. The reason behind this is that marks hardly matters when recruiters visit campus moreover, they are all focused on your knowledge and skills.

Getting a good placement is definitely a dream for all the engineers but you definitely have to brush up on your skills and knowledge before sitting for the recruitment process.

What should I do? I am getting civil engineering in Haldia Institute of Technology. Should I go with it or continue my preparation for the JEE 2021?

Haldia Institute of Technology is a decent institute. If you are interested in civil engineering then you should rather continue with your preparation for the JEE. I say this based on the conversation I had with my friends from HIT.

The placement scenario for core branches at HIT is not good.
Companies that provide 10k - 20k salaries usually visit the campus for recruitment.
The least you would get is an opportunity to sit in an IT sector company which would be a waste of your talent, knowledge, skills after studying civil engineering for 4 years.
If you want to prepare for GATE or ESE exams, you would have to go to Kolkata for coaching. Online lectures are always an option but that requires your focus as well.

Therefore, it is advisable to opt for other colleges in Kolkata for any core branch rather than the Haldia Institute of Technology. If there is a possibility or you believe that you could get into NITs or IITs then go for a year drop to try out your best luck. Otherwise, do not take a risk with it.

Placement for core branches is not good irrespective of which private institute you belong to. So, if you are choosing a private institute make sure that it is in a location from where you can easily take coaching for competitive examinations such as GATE or ESE.

The first-year fee is INR 1.63 Lakhs for the Btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia. The fee is INR 1.24 Lakhs per year for the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th years. Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects. He/She should have secured a minimum 45% Aggregate. All SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate. Candidate must have a valid rank in WBJEE/JEE (Mains).
