I choose haldia institute of technology as it offers a good balanced between affordability infrastructure reputation and academic quality espicially for btech conputer science. HIT is the oldest private engineering college in west bengal with nice nirf ranking with huge campus of 50 acres and well maintained Hostels for boys and girls Average 4-5 lakh placements TCS infosys wipro I have aimed for jadhavpur and IEM kolkata but couldn't make it due to wbjee rank just below cut off some private college were out of my budget like amity and kiit The admission process is smoot and take students through wbjee counseling then seat allotment after this documents verification then admission

HIT, Haldia Better then Government Colleges of West Bnegal

Admission:

I have got some government colleges but the placements were worse in those and this college has a huge number placements you know.. for addmission in this college 80 percent are from WBJEE 10 percent from JEE mains and 10 percent from management Quota. The addmission process is quite smooth just fill addmission form they will verify then pay the semester fee and your addmission is done ? verification step is most important there during addmission. The college asks for atleast 50 percent in 12th in PCM.

I applied to this particular college because of the low expense and it being near to my state, it takes 6 hours to get there which is why I chose to stay at hostel. Good facilities are available, you will not have problem navigating the area however be careful of your surroundings. Students can enter through exams like WBJEE or JEE, the most preferred exam is WBJEE and the cutoffs for these exams are put on their website each year.

I did not apply to any other college and had heard about good reputation of the college from my cousins studying there. So, I joined it. I never applied to any other college and based on my JECA exam rank, I would get any college except the top 3 colleges had I wanted to. We had to appear for JECA exam, get a good rank and then select the college during counseling. The overall admission experience was seamless and smooth.
