Likes

Scholarships like nsp etc are provided to students by applying to respective forms and staff is helpful.
The helpful faculty of the college which provide the students with valuable information and inside into the academic knowledge needed to succeed in life . the understanding of the teachers towards the students.
Placement cell is very supportive and number of companies they have manage to bring to the table is great.

Dislikes

The teachers teach well, but due to low strictness levels and no discipline there is high irregularity of attendance and students don't attend classes properly.
Faculty is little bit not so qualified. but they are so much arrogant.
The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:60 in core subjects and it goes slightly lower for the electives.

Happy Soul In DSC

Likes

The environment of the college... The well equippied labs.. Grounds.. And the facilities that make it perfect in a sense
All the sports items are present in the sports room just done up with the process the of issuing it and have fun... The auditoriums and amphitheatre are the best places to spend your time.. Canteens are the places full with students every time
The nature of the teachers are very helpfull and the way they treat and are in contact with the students is the best thing for a feesher

Dislikes

Disturbance of classes during elections... But most of the students love it too
The fighting scenes of this college is of next level
When the classes are cancelled after reaching the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this course because I want to pursue reasearch in the field of physics... Faculty student ratio is enough... The classes are divided into sections and then again the sections are divided into groups while the lab classes and the ration of faculty vs students during the lab classes is near about 20:1. The faculties are well qualified with PhD degress and they are research specialist in their own fields. The term exams are about to be held in last of Decmeber till mid January and the difficulty level is moderate

Likes

No attendance issue So there is no neend of going college daily
Good faculties with best degrees and knowledge
One of the best Library with 100k+ books with 15 days validity

Dislikes

Some political issues may happend in college
College staff is sometimes rude and dont talk kindly
Ge,Sec,Vac may not happens regularly teachers mostly get absent

The faculty members of college are quite good with good degree and these faculties mentor you to do a lot of things other than your coursee and the gender ratio of our college is quite good and the college is well known in the south campus

The profesor here are helpful in my department. U can approach them for ur doubts with hesitation
The greenery in the college makes the environment clean and refreshing. The students and seniors are helpful.

Dislikes

Lack of indoor sports facilities and other infrastructures .there should be a sports complex
Indoor games should be included in the college like table tennis pool etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I love maths The ratio of teacher and student is good our class is of 30 students so the teacher can focus on each student easily All of the professors have done their PhD. They are well-qualified and Everyone has different teaching methods. We have two terms in a year and each semester has one exam and an internal test the exams are not tough to pass if u study on a regular basis

DSC a full of mixed emotion - Hyped College of DU

Likes

Faculty members are really very friendly like believe me and not just writing , they are like friends. They are highly qualified and even in WhatsApp chat or in social media they can clear your doubts in of time.
For me being in research field, in chemistry everyone get specific specimen and we can use any amount to work on in botany teacher allow us to perform and help us in performing individual experiments.
DSC canteen is best food is super tasty and very affordable like in 40 and 50 you can get a food plate, you can ask anyone the DSC amp theatre is the best in whole du. Football is my passion and its ground is well maintained in DSC.

Dislikes

College fights are very common in DSC , sometimes they spoil important events and fests , they really need to work on there security pass.
Washrooms needs to be updated, no doubt they are hygiene but often taps aren't working and its design is very old style, washrooms proves that it's a Govt. Institute.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted him to go for a BSc in Biotechnology if we talk about Govt. Universities only CURAJ( Central University of Rajasthan) offers this course but that too is a 5-year integrated program i.e. Bsc+Msc if you're fine with it go ahead but for me, I wanted to opt for graduation first, With life Science I can opt for Biotech., Biochem, Microbio, Bio Business and many more as this course includes all bio courses below it same like how PCMB students can go for anything while in 12th I narrowed my way by taking PCB that's why I didn't wanted to repeat same situation. Here in DSC, I'm experiencing more than I had expected, Science labs are so clean and they provide and let us Practice a lot!! , we get individual specimens to work on and Teachers are very frank more than what we had in schools, It feels so cool whatever we imagined being a research student we are experiencing more than expected. Teachers are highly qualified, after all, we are talking about DU teachers.

Dyal singh college from eye of student

Likes

Dyal singh college is situated near metro so we don't have to travel far daily
Campus life which is main in student life is much better in dyal Singh College apart for other things. Teachers are friendly and helpful
Faculty members are helpful and enjoy teaching

Dislikes

There are certain things I dislike in dyal singh college which are there is no a proper place where students can sit and enjoy there free time
There is no hostel for boys and girls in dyal singh college so students have to rent out rooms in nearby places

BSc physical science with chemistry is a 3-year degree course which has scope to many different branches after pursuing this course you have various master courses which you can apply for. Faculty faculty-student ratio at Dyal Singh College is 1 to 30. For every 30 students, Dyal Singh College has 1 teacher. Faculties are highly qualified for the job and teaching methods and ways are student friendly and easy.

The tale of Dyal Singh

Likes

The campus is really big and the food there needs to be complimented.
The sports and other extra curricular activities of Dyal singh are really nice
There is a wide range of active societis which are really impressive.

Dislikes

The peaceful environment of fest are disturbed by some stupid fights.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd semester onwards, students become eligible for campus placements. A lot of companies come and make their offers. The average package is 4.75 LPA. The highest package offered is 12 LPA. 150+ students are placed from our college and 130 companies have visited in total. My plan is to crack UGC NET while appearing for placements at the same time.

College fest college faculty and all that stuff i live everything in this college
My friend are my calssesmate all are good good environment culture
College distance and college location are too good

Dislikes

Infrastructure are too old its need to repair
There are more gujjar and jaat study in college crowd are pretty much
College color its needs to repair as soon as possible

Placement Experience:

Placement are pretty good for other course but for the economic commerce department colleges provide more placement and higher chances to get placed in this so placement are pretty good for these courses Also you're hard working you get placed in your courses too.

Thoughts on my college

Likes

I like things about my is that the location of college.
The college library is big and filled with good books and quite place.
The college infrastructure is good and new building is under construction.

Dislikes

Things I dislike is late information related to scholarship and events.
The environment during election of Delhi University . It gets very noise . Staff gets little rude.
Water is not available all time and pure water in campus area.

Placement Experience:

In college we have a placement society which helps students to get internship and job from big companies. Student get eligible in final year of degree but gets internship in 1st , 2nd year of college. 50% of students gets placement and other go for higher education and preparation etc. 8-9 lacks is highest package any student get. My plans after getting the degree is that I am going for competitive exam upsc.

Dyal Singh college is it really good to go

The school campus was actually like not that good but not that bad I would rate it a 7
The sports facilities and the ground are really good
The CS labs are quite good and air conditioned also the libraries are quite good

Dislikes

The water supply , I think they should get ROs there in the college campus
The dulled and boring classrooms and the condition of furniture
The physics lab is not that much of good but yeah it is like you get the basic apparatus but reall

The faculty are good some of them are PhDs and are very well at teaching as well. The faculty ratio is also very good maybe a 40:60: : women to men MSC, Mtech, and even PhDs teach here. The examinations were conducted on time.

Dyal Singh - Is it really worth it

Likes

I like the amount of exposure I am getting theough the societies
The ampitheatre is rally big in size and the annual fest is held there.
The amount of fun is immeasurable and inexpressible.

Dislikes

The teaching style of faculties are a bit disappointing.
The auditorium is really small in size and even one-fourth of the whole college students cannot fit in it.
The students from both morning and evening college share the same auditorium

Placement Experience:

As I have heard from my seniors and also researched by myself through various websites and the college website, our college provides placements but they are pretty average. Right now the placement cell is providing internship opportunities to the students through WhatsApp and they are above average as they are paying around 10,000 and above the best part is that all the students from any program or course are eligible for them. A good chunk of students get placed through our college and I am also planning to get placed through my college if I get a good opportunity.
