A Worthwhile DU Experience

Admission:

I applied to various colleges under Delhi University and got merit based admission in Dyal Singh College in English Hons programme in first cutoff. While in others, my admission was not confirmed basically because of the high cutoff like St. Stefan College etc. I am really glad to be admitted in this college which gave me many oppurtunities and a great faculty with wonderful campus. The college now accepts CUET based admissions, when i enrolled it was on Merit based with a smooth admission process.

Admissions are done through CUET UG and then CSAS counselling. The Science department of Dyal Singh College is one of the best in all of off-campus. In some other aspects, like student engagement, fests and events, campus size, fame, DSC might be behind some South and North Campus colleges, but it's still arguably the best in off campus, and even some south ones too, as a science student, my personal preference except North Campus was Venky > ARSD > DSC > Rest of the south and off campus.

For admission in Delhi University there's just one way and that is CUET. Cut-off differs for students with certain quotas. The score required for admission here at DSC was 710 but for OBC it was 606 and so through that quota I easily secured the admission here. Most preferred course in DU is definitely Economics Hons but my choice was always political science.
