From the beginning of my engineering career I wanted to take up mechanical engineering as my first preference but with time I developed a interest in the business market and after researching about production engineering I concluded that it gives you an opportunity to learn financing and statistics alongside mechanical subjects.

Production Engineering is ideal for a student who wishes to take up a job in the core sector or wishes to pursue higher education (preferably MBA). Whether the curriculum really helps the student in real-world applications or further academic pursuits depend on whether the student wants to work in the core sector or the IT sector. I personally want to work in the IT sector, so for me, the curriculum will have no affect in my job performance. I'll have to take up courses elsewhere (online) and participate in events related to IT and entrepreneurship that take place in the university. The course curriculum cannot be improved since most of the students here joined because they were able to join JU and not because of a particular love for Production engineering. It's not what they wanted, it's what they got (based on their wbjee ranks). So an "individual student's goal based curriculum will not be possible". Timing and frequency of exams are based on the students' preferences and viewpoint

Jadavpur University's curriculum is designed to align with industry trends and emerging technology. The students get 2 months of gap during year ending for Internship or industrial training for work experience. The syllabus is accredited bya AICTE. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical foundations and practical applications. But it's essential to explore specific course outlines, faculty expertise and syllabus to make informed decisions.

Since I have a keen interest in the role of consultancy so i found this corse to be very helpful and secondly i have a soft core for machine and dynamics also so this department fantasises me over alll this field .The curriculam is still back dated and required certain changes. They should teach what the market needs today such as in my case tableu power bi and many more but threy do not take any name of this. Exam is there throughout the year and the paper is difficult and we have to study before hand

I want to become an engineer that's why I choosed it. And the course curriculum and faculty members are very good. If you dedicate your goal it's not tough to pass the exam. Teaching method is oky. Engineering students ratio is low for female students .

Jadavpur University's Engineering Faculty offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowedge with practical skills. I chose this course due to its longstanding reputation for producing top-tier engineers. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles. The faculty-to-student ratio is favorable, allowing for personalized attention and a better learning experienc. Professors at Jadavpur University are highly qualified, with many holding advanced degrees and extensive industry experience. They use innovative teaching methods, including interactive lectures and practical workshops, to engage students efectively. Term exams at Jadavpur University are typically conductedon schedule, ensuring that the academic calendar is followed closely.
I choose this course because from my rank I am getting this only. The faculty is girls to boys ratio is low. The faculty is highly qualified. If you study a little bit seriously then u can easily score well in the sem exam.
In Production, I got exposure to both Core Mechanical and Management with a ratio of 4:1. Student: Professor ratio is 18:1 All professors are highly qualified with a Ph.D. degree with two professors who have 200+ research papers and come in 2% of scientists of the world.
I got production Engineering in wbjee counseling. I opt for this because it's overall a great branch as it has some finance-related topics with a 70-80% syllabus of Mechanical Engineering. So, if anyone wants to do an MBA, he or she gets much-needed help and knowledge during this course. Professor - Student ratio is good (about 1:3) as we have a class strength of 40-45. Professors are highly qualified and one of the best in India. They have been awarded internationally for their research papers and inventions. Mid sem occurs ideally two times per semester and semester exams occur every 5 to 6 months.
I'm currently studying Production Engineering at Jadavpur and I found the course is very knowledgeable . If someone wants the learn the core of industrial engineering he/she will definitely find this course very helpful. After completing the course one can sit in GATE in both PRODUCTION and MECHANICAL branch. Exams are not very tough . If one study little bit he/she can easily score 8 cgpa. Passing marks in 40% only.
