You have to give WB jee entrance examination for taking admission in the Ju application form you will find on wbjee help desk or wbjee.nic.in the application form for 2023 will nearly start in January. 90 per cent of seats are reserved for the domicile of West Bengal. If you are from the reserved category and domicile of west Bengal then u will much more benefited.

I choose this course because from my rank I am getting this only. The faculty is girls to boys ratio is low. The faculty is highly qualified. If you study a little bit seriously then u can easily score well in the sem exam.

In many companies offering internships like my department, many students get selected for mitacs and tata steel PWC airbus. you can do project under the guidelines of the teacher. many students get an internship in it also like Samsung etc

Placement Experience

Ju is a tier 1 college so you will get placement benefits. if you are skilled then you will get campus placement. more than 500 companies visit campus. more than 1 offer skilled students surely get. placement depends on department wise in my department approximately 95 per cent of students get placed in every sector. The highest on-campus placement from my department is 22 LPA. The highest off-campus placement is 1crore+ from Google London.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very low approximately 11k Many scholarships are there like the Vivekanand scholarship which is only for West Bengal domicile people. foundation for excellence any student can get this scholarship. I have not much more idea about this but depending on your financial status you will surely get a scholarship

Campus Life

The annual fest is srigan which is conducted at the time of new admission for the warm welcome of freshers into college after that Sanskriti was conducted in the month of May -June. The library is of A1 standard. Many societies are there like Motorsport club mounting club fin club ECell debating society science club music club dancing club and many more

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More
