Fees and Financial Aid

SATHYABAMA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY follows a structured fee system that varies based on the course and specialization. with UG programs like B.Tech generallyhaving an annual tuition fee ranging from approx Rs.1,00,000 to Rs.3,25,000 during the academic year 2022-2026, along with additional costs such as hostel, examination, and miscellaneous charges. The University also includes merit-based scholarships awarded through entrance exam performanceand academic excellence, where the top rank holders may receive partial to full tution fee waivers.

Faculty

The academics were very good in Sathyamabama Institue of Science and Technology, all the portions will be covered and we will have 2 CAE exams per Semester follwed by the ESE exam. For the final year Semesters only one CAE exam will be held followed by the ESE exam. The marking systems here is not very strict although somewhat relevant answers will for sure get u pass marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

At Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, the fee structure is relatively good compared to many private institutions. I am currently paying approximately 3,50,000 per year as tution fees under the management quota. Over a 4 year B.E course, this amounts to nearly 14lakhs in total. In my case, there were no additional compulsory charges such as lab fees, development fees, or hidden costs beyond the tution fee. However for other students, the fee strucutre varies by category. Government quota students typically pay significantly lower fees, ranging between 1.25 lakhs to 1.75lakhs per year. The college revises fees occasionally and there has been a gradual increase over recent years, especially for management quota sets. Regarding scholarships, the institution offers merit based scholarships for top scorers in board exams and entrance performance. Additionally government scholarships for SC/ST categories are applicable and reduce the financial burden considerably.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would read the course curriculum was relevant and fairly comprehensive I choose this cost because it includes course subjects like data structures data bases which are essential for industry roles. The structure follows a semester system with two internal assessments and one semester exam .Exams are moderately difficult and management with consistence study.

Faculty

The faculty members are generally knowlegable and supportive maintaining a good balance between acedamic and character development. The faculty to student ratio is decent and allows interaction and doubt clarification. The course is organized well and covers both theoratical concepts and practical applications. The curriculam is relevenat to current industry requirement. The exam system consist of 2 inertnal assessment with contribitr to 50% of the final score and the end semester makes the other 50%. For lab heavy paper the End semester is taken based on model and semester labs. A minimum of 50% joinly is needed to pass the subject. Most students tend to clear the exams without major difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of my course is reasonable, with an average of 2.75 lakhs per year. In the first year the total cost was slightly higher due to admission fees. The fee covered tutuion fees, lab fees, food as well as transport cost. Thre has been a gradual increase in the fee structure over the last 2 years. Students may have different categories of fee structures depending on the scholarship programs such as the chancellor's scholarship that is given out every year. While the scholarship are available for eligible students, they are limited. Overall the course is faily managable in terms of affordability but financial planni9ng is required with scholarships are not attainable.

Campus Life

My overall campus life experience has been positive because the college provides a balanced environment for academics and student activities. Annual cultural events and department-level technical programs are usually conducted during the middle or end of the academic year, which helps students participate actively and improve confidence. The library has a good collection of subject-related books, reference materials, and journals that are easily accessible for students. Classrooms are equipped with basic technological facilities such as projectors, fans, proper seating, and internet support in some departments. Sports activities like cricket, volleyball, badminton, and indoor games are encouraged, along with extracurricular events such as cultural competitions and seminars. There are also student clubs and social groups that help students improve communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, making campus life more interactive and enjoyable.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides internship opportunities mainly through department guidance, placement cell support, and external company tie-ups. Students usually become eligible for internships during the second or third year depending on the course. Some students get opportunities in companies related to technical support, software development, data entry, and basic project assistance, while others apply independently through online platforms. A few internships offer stipends depending on the company and role, while some are mainly for experience and certificate value. During internships, students work on mini projects, reports, documentation, or practical assignments that help improve technical knowledge and communication skills. These internships are useful for understanding workplace expectations and improving employability before graduation.

Internships Opportunities

The primary source of internship opportunities at DAIT is the Training and Placement Cell. This cell is responsible for guiding students in their career development and preparing them for the industry. It assists students in finding internships during summer and winter breaks and also helps them secure final-year project internships. The cell organizes career guidance sessions, resume-building workshops, mock interviews, and aptitude training programs. These activities enhance students’ confidence and improve their chances of securing internships in reputed organizations. The placement cell also invites industry experts to conduct guest lectures and seminars, which provide insights into real-world working environments and expectations. Apart from centralized support, individual departments within the college also contribute significantly to internship opportunities. Departments such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering encourage students to participate in domain-specific internships. For example, Computer Science and IT students often get opportunities in software development, web development, mobile application development, artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity. These internships help students apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations and develop technical expertise. Similarly, students from core engineering branches like Mechanical and Electrical Engineering may get internships in manufacturing industries, maintenance units, or technical service companies. The college also promotes internships through collaborations, training programs, and local industry connections. Being located in Coimbatore, which is an industrial hub, provides an advantage to students. The city hosts several small and medium-scale industries, IT companies, and startups, offering a wide range of internship options. Students can benefit from these local opportunities by participating in industrial visits,

Faculty

Faculties are friendly to students and guides us on every situation and gives attention on studies strictly when on exams All faculties are good among the students and no problem with them but sometimes the response may be slower Here they are conducting two internal exams , a model exam before the semester examination and the last for semester examination The conduction of class test, internals and model exams makes our performance good on semester examinations Some of the students consider the exams as tough due to their careless ness

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently pursuing my engineering at Sri Sairam College Of Engineering and I am a student supported by Maatram Foundation. The total fee structure of my course is approximately Rupee 5 to 6 lakhs for the complete 4 years. However i have not personally paid these fees, as my entire college education is being funded by Maatram Foundation. My batchmates admitted through management quota pay significantly higher fees, ranging from Rupee 2 to 2.5 lakhs per year depending on the branch. My college provides strong placement support, including training from the 3rd year ,AMCAT preparation, and to enhance employability. Although my tuition fees are covered,I still need some support in managing expenses related to additional certification courses that are important for my career prospects. Therefore, receiving the LMS scholarship would greatly support me to build my skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since you joined through the Management Quota, the numbers look quite different compared to CET. Here’s a short, student-style write-up tailored to your situation: I joined RNSIT through the Management Quota, and the fees are primarily branch-dependent. For high-demand branches like CSE or ISE, the annual tuition fee is around ?7 Lakhs to ?8 Lakhs. For other branches like ECE or AIML, it ranges between ?5 Lakhs and ?6.5 Lakhs. Over the full 4-year course, the total expenditure ends up being approximately ?25 Lakhs to ?32 Lakhs. Beyond the base tuition, I paid a one-time Caution Deposit of ?10,000 (refundable) and around ?15,000 for VTU registration and eligibility fees during admission. The college also collects smaller amounts for uniforms, ID cards, and lab maintenance in the first year. While the management tuition fee is usually locked in at the time of admission, the university/exam fees tend to increase by about 5-10% each year. Even under the Management Quota, you can still apply for certain private scholarships (like those from Jindal or specific community trusts) if you maintain a high CGPA, though you aren't eligible for the standard government fee-waiver schemes. Does this match the specific branch you are in, or should I adjust the total amount?

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is roughly 1:15. Most professors are approachable, especially during lab hours. I really like Dr. Kiran (CSE) and Mrs. Rajeshwari because their teaching is very practical and they explain concepts clearly. On the other hand, some junior lecturers can be a bit rigid with notes and attendance, which makes their classes feel less engaging. We follow the VTU curriculum, which is quite theory-heavy but slowly improving with more industry-relevant electives. Each semester has three Internal Assessment (IA) exams and one final Semester End Exam (SEE). The IAs are manageable if you follow the class notes, but the final VTU exams can be tough and the valuation is often strict. About 10-15% of students usually end up with backlogs in the tougher subjects like Mathematics or Data Structures, but most clear them in the makeup exams.

Placement Experience

The placements is really good. They started our placement training in our 2nd year itself. for the next batches they are starting from first year. They give importance for placements. Many companies visit our college for internships and campus placements. The training is also done by good training institutes like CCC etc. Students are categorised according to their performance in the tests which has aptitude and coding rounds. I myself is a part of Super Dream Batch. There will be a lot of tests but they gradually prepare u for the placements. Highest package last year for arounf 50L per annum and this year its around 41L per annum.

Faculty

The faculties are very friendly and supportive. They motivate you to do new innitiatives. They are qualified and proffessional. Some of my favourites are V Saranya Ma'am, Prince Mary Ma'am, Jeslin Ma'am. The course curriculum is mostly theorical than practical. I mostly found it easier. We have two exams for internals - CAE1 and CAE2. These are for 50 marks and passing criteria is 50%. For end Semester the paper is for 80 marks. Passing is easy. Scoring is also easy if the student puts efforts.

Faculty

I am pursuing BE CSE general course . Currently i m 3rd year . So, basically our education system is like i have three types of subjects Theory , Practical and Hybrid(both theory and practical) . For the theory exmas we have mid semester twice and for the hybrid we have LAB MST once in a semester. and for the hybrid we have 10 assignments per semester and apart from this we have end semester lab exam . This all combines and makes grade .

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of the course per year is 2.4 lac but i got 50% scholarship because of 12th board marks . Now , i have to pay 1.2 lac per year . For the hostel i have to pay 1.2 lac per year its include all facilities like gym , mess , accomdation , campus , lib etc. For my batch 2027 , fees is same 2.4 lac for BE CSE General . but for devops and AIML fees is higher than this .

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 350000 Rs. as my initial year fees and 325000 Rs. for the rest of the academic years. It included all the fees such as tution fee, lab fee, Exam fee, etc...,. Addition to that Rs. 100000 for my hostel fee. for the other departments such as Mechanical, ECE, EEE my fellow students of these departments paid maximum of 250000 Rs as the fee, whereas Specializations in Computer Science Departments like AI,Ml,DS,Robotics,AI-DS They all paid the minimum fee of Rs.400000. There is no Scholarship other than only one conducted every year, No govt. sholarships nothing at all. But they offer free seats for those who are really weak in financial status via some foundations which very very appreciated among other colleges upto my knowledge.

Faculty

The Faculty-student relationship are very healthy and they are responsive and cared like their very own students. The syllabus is well structured like from the basics to the core of their fields, so that everyone can grasp the concepts from the very basic to the advancement of their fields. Syllabus can be improved to the current date industrial requirements or futuristic aspects. The advanced topics are not explained deeply but like given simple glance about it and basic working principles of them. Most of the subjects are easy to clear

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure of the college is moderate compared to other institutions offering similar courses. For my course (BE CSE) the average tuition fees was around Rs. 275000 - Rs. 345000 per year . total cost for the complete course (4 years) comes to approximately 12 lakhs to 16 lakhs for my course for non technical courses total cost for complete course (4 years) comes to approximately 4.5 lakhs to 6 lakhs for students from reserved categories like SC/ST, the fees are comparatively lower due to government regulations, and many of them also benefit from state and central govt scholarships ranging from Rs. 15000 to Rs. 20000

Faculty

In our college the students to faculty ratio is 1:22. Most of the faculty to student relationship are more friendly adn kind which is very good compare to other college the faculties i like is Mrs. anandhi because she maintains the relationship between the student very friendly I never disliked any of th faculties mostly 4 exams which contains 2 cae , 1 model , 1 semester and the eaxms are little tough and in the class maybe 4 or 5 will not clear most of them will clear the test easily

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course primarily because of the industry demand, but the way the curriculum is handled is a bit of a mixed bag. While the subjects themselves are relevant for real-world applications, the way they are taught often feels outdated. There is a heavy focus on theory, which doesn't always prepare you for the practical challenges you face during internships or in further academic pursuits. If I were to suggest improvements, I’d definitely point toward the course curriculum and teaching methods. We need more hands-on lab sessions and industry-linked projects instead of just lectures. The faculty-to-student ratio of 60:1 makes it hard to get personalized guidance, and the teaching style needs to move away from rote learning. Regarding the exams, we have mid-term assessments followed by the final semester exams. While the frequency is manageable, the timing can be stressful as the schedule is often tight. In my perspective, the difficulty level is moderate, but the real challenge lies in the evaluation. Since some staff members correct papers with a mindset that seems intended to fail students, it makes the whole process feel more like a hurdle to clear rather than a true test of what we've learned.

Faculty

Our college has a faculty-to-student ratio of 60:1, which often makes the environment feel quite crowded. Generally speaking, the professors aren't very approachable; many of them have a short temper, so you have to be careful when asking questions or seeking extra help. One exception is Kamalesh Sir, who is definitely the best faculty member I’ve had. I liked him because he actually encourages practical learning and real-world application rather than just forcing us to mug up theory from a textbook. As for the faculty I didn’t like, I’d rather not list their names, but the main issue is their rigid teaching style and lack of patience. The exam system consists of mid-terms and finals which are moderately difficult in terms of the questions asked. However, the marking scheme can be frustrating. Some staff members seem to correct papers with the intention of failing students rather than assessing their actual knowledge. While the course curriculum is relatively relevant to the industry, the high pressure and strict evaluation mean a significant number of students struggle to clear their papers on the first attempt.

Ques. How is the course curriculum of Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Cyber Security & Forensics) in DIT University Dehradun?

● Top Answer By Kushaagr Srivastav on 28 Oct 20

Ans. I chose this course because since everything is being digitised there is going to be a huge requirement of people who can keep all the data safe, I believe this course will help me be on of the professionals who would contribute to safekeeping of digital data. Each class has about 50 students and there are different teachers for every subject. Most of the faculty has done their PhD and most of them know what they're talking about. Exams happen twice a semester, mid semester and end semester in addition to class tests and assignments. One can pass most subjects if they are attentive in class.Read more
