Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology (AIET), Mangalore is a premier Engineering Institute of Alva’s Education Foundation established in the year 2008. The main aim of the AIET is to set up a centre for excellence by offering world class technical education and research opportunities of very high standards and making the students technologically the best and ethically strong.

- ROSTRUM- The philosophy is to prepare students for professional world including academics and corporate. With this thought in mind, AEF has provided a platform for students Rostrum- Speakers Club. Rostrum provides an avenue for public speaking.
- SRISHTI- A step taken by the students of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, to protect the nature around us and help in create a better tomorrow.
- IMAGE IN-“Photography is an art and not just science”, these were words of Mr. Astro Mohan, Sr. News Photographer of Udayavani. He was speaking as the Chief Guest and Inaugurator of Image-In photography club at AIET.

- Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat-It was an international litero cultural festival organized by AIET. Event had a participation of over 2 lakhs every day and the whole event had more than 10 lakhs of participants.
- Chitrasiri-It was a three day state level art camp is conducted every year as a curtain raiser prior to the Alva's Nudisiri at the Vidyagiri campus. Chitrasiri has been a great platform for younger artists to display their talent.

- Also, it is affiliated with VTU Belgium itself, so it does not provide its own syllabus and works as another college of VTU does.
- I did my internship in NARL (ISRO) for 2 months through College Influence. It was a good experience with NARL scientists, and we completed a project-based on Python. They provided us with a certificate after the completion of the project.
Dislikes
- Hectic with lots of study pressure on students: 6 assignments, 2 laboratories, and 6 subjects. There is no time management, as the day will be spent only on completing assignments and records. There is no time at all to do some research works, etc.
- There isnt much to hide in fees as it costs less compared to other engineering colleges. The cost of studying comes up to 1 lakh 15 thousand, which includes hostel and college fees. The opportunity for scholarships is vast

You will get applications in college. The application fee is around 200. I wrote the CET exam but I opted for this college, this college does not have any entrance exams for engineering courses. I didn't do any reservations.

I had not applied for any colleges before and I entered the alvas college by management seat with my pu percentage as direct admission. The admission process went good and we had to provide the percentage score and the cet ranking during the counselling day and there is no minimum marks or age but we have to clear the pu with more than 50%.

I completed my PU in Alvas and I joined the AIET to continue my education. Even though I joined through a management quota the college fees I pay is equal to the CET fees. The admission criteria are very simple.

After my K-CET Exams finished i got seat for CSE Branch under SN(Supernumerary) Quota in the first round of counsilling and finished with all the admission process of the college with in that week only and the admission process was nice.

Management amount is less compare to other colleges, It take long process to payment and geting recipients, It has very good for cultural activities.
Course Curriculum Overview:
All faculties are good. We have visited Coimbatore for industrial visit. Syllabus was good to students. College arranged for business man visit our college and speech of their struggle and success. Sometime good speaker also visited our college for good shaping of our personality
Admission:
The good remark is it is a student-friendly campus in which first Preference is given to students, and help the students if there are in need of help from the management of our college, and good safety for girls in campus even for boys too, our college has many strict rules to follow.

It could work on the staffs since there's a lack of lecturers in some streams, maybe the reason is due to it's location of the college. Since, it is located away from the city, a normal hi-fi person wouldn't stay here. Also, it can work on providing a basketball ground, there's one some kms away but you need a bus to get there.

The fee per year for the Btech is INR 104,265 at the Alva's Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mangalore. Candidate should have passed in Pre-University /10+2/or any equivalent examination, with 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories) in Physics, Mathematics and one of the following as optional subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Electronics, Bio-Technology, English should be one of the subjects.
