Central Library is too much good. I like it.
Hostel is very good, specially food quality is too good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to become an engineer that's why I choosed it. And the course curriculum and faculty members are very good. If you dedicate your goal it's not tough to pass the exam. Teaching method is oky. Engineering students ratio is low for female students .

Internships Opportunities

If you want to get any job Or internship you can get it. Internship opportunities is good. Many others company came for hiring student in our university. Coding is too much high demand now a days. But if you are a core related student you can get jobs in others category of jobs.

Placement Experience

From 5th semester you can get internship from university and from 7th semester you can get placement. I'm a 1st semester student so i don't have too much idea about placement and internship. But most of the 95% students got placed from our university.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is the best University in West Bengal. And fees structure is too much low. You have to pay 10,000 for 4 year journey. If you have any financial problems you can get svmcm scholarship. My university offered jobs in 4th year and offered internship in 3th year.

Campus Life

The life of campus is too much cool. You can see many people in this university who came any part of our country. There are many clubs in our university like Mountaining club, photography club, painting club, robotics club etc. There are a big central Library and a seperate library in every department.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel faculty is too much good. Food quality in the hostel is too much good. Registration process of hostel is not so complicated. Room is too much good. You can get a table and a single bed and a chair and a wardrobe.

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

The admission process was little bit complicated but nice. I given the wbjee exam. Through wbjee exam I entered the University. My rank was 2942 out of 1 lakh aspirant. I am obc b reserved student. Obc b cut off is too much similar with general. If you have sc Or st reserved sit you can get good branch with little high rank.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent.
