Likes
- First of all the proffesors are highly qualified and most of them have done their phd from renowned institute of the country.
- The college has no compoulsry attendance policy whiche definetely I like the most due to this we can invest our time in various activities beside studies
- The college has around 15 active clubs which are doing great work in the campus.I would like to mention specifically the E cell club which is doing great job such as hosting competitions like hult prize on nationwide and many more
Dislikes
- First thing is that the college is not residential for all many student live ouside in pgs and flat and due to this huge money is spent on this
- The library is closed at 8 pm which I think should be opened all the time as students required to study whole night and the labs are not in right conditon
- Thirdly there is no gym in campus which I think should be implement
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I have a keen interest in the role of consultancy so i found this corse to be very helpful and secondly i have a soft core for machine and dynamics also so this department fantasises me over alll this field .The curriculam is still back dated and required certain changes.They should teach what the market needs today such as in my case tableu power bi and many more but threy do not take any name of this. Exam is there throughout the year and the paper is difficult and we have to study before hand
Placement Experience
After 3rd year students who got internship can convert it into ppo which is pre placement offer. And in this college more or less from every deartment student gets placed due to the brand value This year mechanical is 100 percent placed my dept is around 85 and gere all the big mncs' and all the tech giants and all the core field companies come to give placement And my plans is to get a good job role in a top Mnc
Fees and Financial Aid
The most promising part of this instituion is the fees. The 4 years fees in only 9600 and before semester exam we have to pay an amount of only 40 so it is nearly 10000 as it is a state funded university
Campus Life
In ju there is always some fest happening But the biggest cultural fest is sanskriti and for the tech fest it is srijan in the minth of march to april Our central library is kolkata's one of the biggest library with mkre than 700000 books and 20000 journals of various fields. Every yesr a sports fest is help called arena in which we have to compete with various departments in all kinds of sports such as cricket football basketball badminton and many more sports
Admission
For engineering you have to give wbjee examination and you have to rank under 3k to get ju among 1.5 lakhs the wbjee exam is difficult than jee mains but easiers than advance The negative part is that in my time wbjee counsrlling happened after all counselling so u have to wait a little to get admission in it
Faculty
The student is to teacher ratio is around 11:1 which is quite bad but the proffesfor are very helpful as we can go t them at any point of time and write papers under them.Most of the proffesors are highly qualified as they have done their phd. 2 teachers from our department are also in world top 2% scientist .
