Jadavpur University (JU) has formally submitted a proposal to the West Bengal government to conduct its own independent BTech counselling for the 2026 academic session. If approved, the university will manage its admission process separately from the centralized WBJEE 2026 counselling to ensure a more streamlined academic calendar.

The proposal, drafted by the Faculty Council of Engineering and Technology, aims to address the chronic issue of vacant seats and admission delays.
