IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Campus placements are very great at IIT KHARAGPUR as yu know it is one of the top IITs so a lot of companies visit and give out great packages to the students. However it is a tough time when placements do happen but with patience and good work you will get a job.

The placements in IIT kharagpur are way better than other colleges. From the 5th sem itself, the students get opportunities of doing internships in various big companies like amazon ,microsoft etc. The highest package offered was 1.8cr per annum and was offered to student of Computer science engineering. In B.Tech 83 percent of the students were placed at resonable packages. I plan to get a highly paid job offer after getting the degree.

The BTech and BS guys are eligible for campus placements in their 4th year and it is 5th year for dual degree people. Google, Microsoft, Apple, Goldman Sachs, IBM, McKinsey, Roland Berger, Mercedes, Facebook, Amazon, Byju's, Unacademy, Deloitte, Cognizant, ICICI, Wiley, PayTM, Tata, etc are some of the various companies that recruit from here. This year around 1600 offers were made with 900+ internships. Highest was 2.68 CPA. The average package is around 30 LPA In most of the departments over 88 to 90 percent students are placed

During the 7th semester the students will be eligible for placements. 98 percent of the students gor placed somewhere or the other.Highest package secured so far was 3.48cr per annum and the average package is 9lakhs. My plans after the degree is to write IES exam.

Many big companies come and offer placements. Around 90 percent students get their job during placements. Highest package offered is 2.32 crores for CSE students last year. My plans after getting a degree is I need to get a job with good package in any good company.

From the 6 th semester onwards the placements are get opened in the campus for various companys.nearly 67 percent get jobs in the college . My plan is to pass the group 1 exam and become collector in andhra pradesh .

I am 1st year ug student. I don't actually know about the placements much but I have been told to maintain good cg cause they 1st only check the cgpa. For the cse students they don't much consider the cgpa but for other courses it is explained above.dont consider my rating here cause I don't know about it.

Internships are available from the 3rd year, but placements occur during the winter break of the fourth year. Apple, samsung , NVIDIA, McKinsey are some of the companies that visited. Last year the highest offer was 2.68 Crore. Every year approximately 92% students get placed, rest move on to pursue higher studies

3rd year students are offered internships from companies. Placement is also very good here. The average package for computer science students in 2022 was 45 lakh and even the core branches secure good packages with 70-80% placement on campus.
