Campus life which is greatly amazing and everyone should live it once
Infrastructure is so good ever after being the oldest IIT
Faculty is greatly admiring and helping towards students learning

Dislikes

There is nothing much that i would say as i disliked
Campus is too big so you can't live without cycle
But cycling is good for health too so not a dislike

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is great and designed for students such that they can easily learn and adapt feom mugging environment to understanding environment. The faculties are also highly educated and each has his/her own way kf teaching and engaging with students. The term exams has to be difficult because it grades you but with enough studies i think anyone can clear them easily.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The opportunities are bery great even thought i do hold information that might know quite less about it so probably you can skip to the next review but it is guaranteed that whatever you get is best options

Placement Experience

Campus placements are very great at IIT KHARAGPUR as yu know it is one of the top IITs so a lot of companies visit and give out great packages to the students. However it is a tough time when placements do happen but with patience and good work you will get a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

It take 1.5 lacs per semester and you can also get educational loans as in my batch of 2023-24many has taken sbi educational loan. Also there are benefits to people who need it including people whose family do not earn much.

Campus Life

Campus life at IITKGP is one of the most promising college life and it gives you exposure to all fileds of interests and you can learn and grow through your time of 4 years. There are socities for literally everything you can imagine from cooking dance drama literary esports and many more of them that i can't even remember most probably right now.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are quite great if your expectations are low. However it is a government college and everything about it is worth cherishing. You can make a lot of friends in this journey as you share rooms with 2 or 3 more people and with a little luck you'll have the best room mates ever like me.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

To clear the JEE examinations, only after which you can get into IITKGP, is quite tough a d you have to really work hard on learning and building your understanding. The course is really great and I'm discovering more of it everyday. Reservations do help you a little but not if you don't work hard enough ti be worth it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Clg Review

Since I was interested in getting into an IIT from class 11, and IIT KGP was the only college that gave the best branch to college ratio among all other IITs that I was eligible for based off my rank. The admission process for my college for B.TECH involves JOSAA, a counselling system for all government engineering colleges in India where the eligibility criteria is based off JEE ADVANCED rank. Since you can only select one college through JOSAA, the only one i selected was this as this was the only one I was alotted based off my rank. The cutoff for my college is around 12000 for General Male and 20000 for General Female. This increases for other categories like SC ST OBC etc....Read More
