Course Curriculum Overview
the course is pretty relevant but sometimes the teacher dont try to understand the concepts .the course could be more advanced in terms of the relevancy like in graphics design they still teach us hand drawing instead of using cad drawing .the frequency of exams is fine and the timing of the exams is also fine .
Internships Opportunities
companis like mirosoft ,google , acenture etc provide intership and then offer ppo to students .the projects are given in third year .the outcome of the projects is to solve the real world problems which is often seek by the company.
Placement Experience
from 6th semester the student become eligible for campus placement.Companies like google ,microsoft , apple etc visit the campus.the highest package offered around would be 50 lakhs and lowest would be 5 lakh.around 70 percent of the student get placed.i want to get placed and do the job then slowly i want to start my editing agency.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per semester for the course is 90600, the caution fee is taken along with the mess fee .the caution fee is rs 5000 and including hostel fee is 23200.there are scholarship available for low income household.
Campus Life
fests like aarohan ,resctcasy happen once a year .most of the books are available and there is a wide range of books available .the faculty and techincal provision are good and most of the classroom have good ac and lightning.the spots atmosphere is not so good there are coaches available if you opt to participate in inter nit they will train you.ther are clubs and zone which affect all the event and also due to this there are divisons among the social circle in the student group.
Hostel Facilities
there is wifi , a night lamp , fan and tube light in the room .the mess food and quality is fine and there are a varity of food across the week .they give chicken ,egg and fish three times week.registraion is done using the chanakya portal of the college .the hostel fees is resonable
Admission
i choose the college over other colleges as in this college is was getting mechanical engineering having 98 percentile in jee main .well i just filled out jossa counselling and there were other colleges above me but i got nit durgapur mechanical.the admission in my college is through jossa counselling which is get throuh jee exam.
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is good and there is not problem with the availability of teachers for teaching except for maths subject.Most of the faculty's are approachable and friendly but some are not approachable attitude all as well.The average batch size including all branches will be approx 100.best faculty for fluid is rana and for solid is chintamoney both are friendly and approachable teachers.the faculty is sibendu whom I don't like at all and don't like what is preaches to us.there are two exams per semester mid term and end term both are of medium difficult plus there are class assessment done by the respective subject teachers.some of the teachers give assignment instead of CA.the course curriculum is pretty relevant
Night Life
the gym is small and compact and lack some of the equipment. there is a newly hired coach which is helpful and provides assistance while exercising.the hostel timing for 1st year is strict and resticted to hours but starting from second year there are no restrictions. famous hangout place is duckpond for couples, jucntion mall with friends , banachiti for for purchasing goods and the area in front of zoom international for food .
