Course Curriculum Overview

The future is about ECE as india delves into the world of semi conductor and chips. The faculty student ratio is amazing 4 teachers cater to a class of 90. The teachers are all Phd doctorates having won several recognjzed distinctions

Internships Opportunities

Internships are made available as soon as you reach the third year, majority of them looking for software, analyst and core engineering roles. Samsung, Google, apple are some of the companies that visited. Stipends vary from 35k to 1.2L. You have to prepare a good resume with projects and qualifications in order to apply for them

Placement Experience

Internships are available from the 3rd year, but placements occur during the winter break of the fourth year. Apple, samsung , NVIDIA, McKinsey are some of the companies that visited. Last year the highest offer was 2.68 Crore. Every year approximately 92% students get placed, rest move on to pursue higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

I think based on the facilities that the vollege provides the fees is apt, the institution provides scholarship for financially challenged students upon submission of related documents Currently I am a fresher so don't have ideas about placements but i hear the average package is quite high

Campus Life

The college conducts two grand fests, the cultural one called spring fest and the technical one called kshitij, both in the month of January. It has the biggest collection of books,ebooks among all iits, there are adequate facilities for sports, over 40 student run clubs are present in the campus

Hostel Facilities

The room i am currently alloted is shared among 3, individual fans , study tables, high speed LAN ports, almirahs are the amenities offered. The mess food is good not as good as home but tasty enough. If you come up with 2 of your friends they will give the three of you the same room or else you will be randomly alloted.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission was rhrough JOSAA counselling. Only those were eligible who had qualified JEE Advance with a good rank. Jee is a 2 step proxess, first you have to qualify jee mains then proceed with jee advanced

Overall our college starts preparing the students for the placement purposes from 3rd year. The company including Amazon, TCS, Wipro and some others came for placement. Approximately above 8.5 cgpa may get placements. My plans about government sector job.

Placmenets in iit kgp is quite good and high compared to other iits or other engineering colleges many companies visit our college and mostly reputed compaines like amazon microsoft and honeywell comes and many students got selected through the college placement. 80% of the students are getting placed through off campus and on campus

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Clg Review

Since I was interested in getting into an IIT from class 11, and IIT KGP was the only college that gave the best branch to college ratio among all other IITs that I was eligible for based off my rank. The admission process for my college for B.TECH involves JOSAA, a counselling system for all government engineering colleges in India where the eligibility criteria is based off JEE ADVANCED rank. Since you can only select one college through JOSAA, the only one i selected was this as this was the only one I was alotted based off my rank. The cutoff for my college is around 12000 for General Male and 20000 for General Female. This increases for other categories like SC ST OBC etc....Read More
