IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

MTech students are eligible for placements from the second year onwards and students can apply for internships after 2nd semester. Some of the companies visiting the campus include Google, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Goldman Sachs to name a few.

From placement point of view IIT-KGP is one of the best. If the students prepare accordingly to the placements, mostly they get a job with very good package. Many students go for higher studies like PhD after completing the degree here.

3rd sem onwards There are over 300 companies come and recruit thousands of students every year with good handsome salary package Highest package vary every year, most probably few crores and average is of 18LPA Definitely job

If u are a tech loving student, then u will find various placement opportunities. But, it's a bad news for non tech students like me Because, for us the possibility of getting placed is very small. If don't get placed from here , I thought of preparing for NET and because a physics professor.

Since I am in my Mtech so from 2nd year that is the third semester during our project we can start applying in career development centre for our campus placements the various companies visit out campus every year with my offer and average package of 10 lpa to maybe 1 crore so basically the average pack is lies around 8 LP and highest package this year I can say it was one crore for year or for Anamika se percentage of student getting place on the type of batch so in an average 70% students are placed restor going in PSU after the degree I plan to go for a Consulting company if I get it from a college I'll try but I'll try in of Campus also

In mtech , students can sit for placement from 3rd sem onward and for Btech students if they are in final year they are eligible . This year for session 2022-2023 , 1600 plus offer within 12 days of placement and 900 plus internship offers came (info from CDC IIT KGP). AS far as my own course IIE electrical dept. cocern highest package is 49 LPA offered by qualcomm . apart from that intel , IBM , Texas instruments and many more company visited . Due to the layoffs and recession they offer less seat this year but overall it was good

from the 7-8 semester, we are eligible for the campus placements QuickShell, KPMG, Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, Air India,..etc there are many more the highest package is 3 crore per annum and the average is 22 lakh per annum 80% of students generally gets palcement i want to become a game developer so I'll look for that company in the placement time if its not available then I'll go with my coding skills

Above 90%of the students achieve placements, The major criteria for placement is a cgpa above 7.5 Students are eligible for placement in their 7 or 8 sem. The highest package offered is above 1 Cr and average depends on the departments.Major companies visiting are Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. My plan after getting degree is to prepare for UPSC

As it's iit so placement are pretty well and EE is top branch so placement are quite good and overall 90 percent of student are being placed and others after degree gonna for job line and civil services.

The placements are quite good compared to other colleges as a lot of companies offer placements. The highest package is over 1 Cr and average is around 10-20 lpa. Over 200 students get placed on campus through core as well as non core branches.
