IIT Ki Kahani -Khushi ki Zubani

As a first year student, we learn all the subjects.But what really matters is your own hard work.Professors do their job of teaching and as a student , we are expected to work hard and perform well.Exams are not that challenging if we keep our study preparation good.

we get eligible for interships in or 3rd year if we have a 4 year degree, else in 4th year if we have a 5 year degree. Students get various interships offers and opportunities both national and abroad.You get chance to intern in various IITs or even in huge companies like Amazon.

Above 90%of the students achieve placements, The major criteria for placement is a cgpa above 7.5 Students are eligible for placement in their 7 or 8 sem. The highest package offered is above 1 Cr and average depends on the departments.Major companies visiting are Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. My plan after getting degree is to prepare for UPSC

Fees is divided into two parts majorly, hostel and academic .Per semester it costs around 1.5lakhs . There are various scholarships which keeps going on , and don't worry , you will be mailed regularly from you faculty advisor , regarding scholarship so that you don't miss any opportunity.

The spring festof iit KGP is the largest in Asia. It is one of the biggest events and students from various colleges come up to attend the fests. Talking about the largest library of Asia, iit KGP has a vast library with all the facilities and all types of books available.All of the sports facilities are majorly available, depending upon the interest of students. There are various clubs and societies run by students like maharastra mandal.

We are staying at a very good place for now .SNVH-IGH. All the required facilities are available in the hostel.Talking about the mess , the food is average .The menu keeps changing every month . Hostel registration takes place on the very first day as you arrive .It takes about 3-4 hrs depending on the number of students, but once done , you're sorted.

After your class 12th or during your class 12th, we apply for the JEE Entrance exam,which has 2 phases JEE MAINS and ADVANCED. Mains opens the option of various nits , iiits and gftis, which for iits, you need to clear jee advanced. After clearing advanced, counseling procedure continues , then you get your college allotted. All of this is conducted by nta, so you can visit their official website. Majorly, mains happens in 2 attempts, January and April and then Advanced in May.
