IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Electrical Engineering: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

For the 2022-2023 academic session, the college saw over 1,600 placement offers within 12 days and more than 900 internship offers, as reported by the CDC at IIT KGP. MTech students can participate in placements starting their second year, while BTech students are eligible in their final year. The highest placement package was 49 LPA, offered by Qualcomm to a student in the IIE electrical department. Notable recruiters included Intel, IBM, Texas Instruments, Google, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, and Goldman Sachs.

Despite a decline in job opportunities due to economic challenges, the placement season remained positive. Internships are abundant, with students often securing them through faculty recommendations and alumni networks. Job roles offered cover areas such as hardware engineering, SOC engineering, software and web development, consultancy, and finance. Financial support is available, with the government providing MTech students Rs. 12,400 monthly. The total course fee is about Rs. 2 lakh for GEN and OBC students, subject to minor changes for hostel and mess charges.

Scholarships from government and private entities like Reliance also help ease financial burdens. Despite the relatively high fees, the institution's strong placement packages justify the investment.
