- Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
- Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
- You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways
Dislikes
- The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
- Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
- This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

- Gender discrimination is very common in many criterias.
- Location of the college is too far from any city, have to travel a lot for purchasing anything

- I'm okay with playing sports and I participated also.
- I'm contingent player of volleyball team in my college
- I was played district level cricket from my school time
Dislikes
- I didn't like the attendance criteria of 75%
- I didn't like the facilities providing in the hostels.
- Sometimes food is also not good in the mess.
Placement Experience:
The placements of nit Trichy are good enough. From 5th semester students become eligible for campus internships and placements.
Companies like google Microsoft oracle and many more are visited here and giving offers.

- the mess food is so nice and the given enough quantity
- the campus is so green and has enough trees everywhere
- the sports grounds are very big and well maintained
Dislikes
- there are no proper gym facility for everyone,seniors have over advantage
- restrooms and hostel maintenance is not so proper
- language barrier is predominant at all places in the campus
Placement Experience:
From Third Year,students become eligible for placements I think
I have no idea about the about the companies availble
highest package recieved this year is around 56 lakh in each branch
i hope there is guaranteed placement

- Exposure of clubs here are very diverse.
- I got to learn how to communicate here because of language barriers.
- Internship and placements are very good here and also we get an environment to learn all the required skills.
Dislikes
- South dominance is there which is seen at a lot of places.
- Mess food is soemthing which made me write it in the dislike section.
- Professors sometimes done provide the proper study material.
Placement Experience:
After the 6th semester, the college students become eligible for the placements which is followed by the campus preparation exam after which students are filtered and then pushed for further placements.
A lot of FAANG companies come and a lot of startups visit us. The count of companies is more than 120+.
Nearly 95% students get the placements in the batch.
I will work then after few years go for highers.

- Strong academic programs, qualified faculties, decent placement records, encourages research and hosts to many clubs and other extracurricular activities

- Competitive and stress inducing, located away from city, old broken down buildings and facilities not maintained properly
Placement Experience:
Pre placement opportunities are provided for students from 5th or 6th semester for summer internship and students are eligible for campus placements after 7th semester

- Faculty is very friendly. They are hard working . We can visit them any time to clear our doubts .
- The placements of this college in the previous year were very good.
- We have separate buildings for lecture halls of UG and PG .
Dislikes
- Lot of restrictions on girls . They can stay till 9:45 PM outside the hostel .
- Hostels are not upto the mark . WIFI don't work properly .
- Mess food is not that good , people coming from North face problem .
Placement Experience:
For MCA , the internship season starts in the beginning of second year , many famous companies like Uber, GS, Visa ,KLA visit our college . The highest package in MCA placement is 52 LPA and median is 10 LPA. Many students get PPO from the summer internship. The placement percentage for the year 2024 is not that good , but NITT MCA holds a good record of top placements.

- Seperate department for MCA. Many other NITs offering mca course doesn't have their own department
- Lots of opportunities within the department itself other than fests that are organised on institute level
- Lots of seminars are organised throughout the year and we get real time experience
Dislikes
- Too outside of the main city so we have to travel 15-20 km if we want to go to the main city
- Timing restrictions for girls. Girls are not allowed after 9:45 pm
Course Curriculum Overview:
The carricullum for our course was changed few years back and it is focused on both learning and placement perspective and it provides real time experience as well.
The exams are done regularly in for of 2 cycle test within a semester and at the end of semester we have end sem exam.

From 6 semester the students are eligible for the internship and also for the placements so years wise it's third year
At civil it's BHL PVCL etc
Highest package of civil engineering is 78 lakh per annum
And the average is 12-16 lakh per annum
80-90 % student got placed

- all the faculties have a docterate and they are highly knowledgeable in their respective domain. the tests are being conducted by our own subject faculty and hence the tests are easy.
- the college is known for fests such as festember, nittfest (culturals), sportsfete, e summit (buisness), consultcon(consultancy), inter nit sports, pragyaan(technical)
- there are various clubs in every domain, web and app development (delta), research and development (spider), entrepreneurship(e cell), consultancy(180 dc), english literature, dance, music, sports.
Dislikes
- the girls hostel are okayish but still they have strict curfew which i didnt like. every action has to be accompanied with a letter and it is honestly so tiring
- the boys hostel is very bad. there is no water supply in some hostels. but they are lineant with curfew
- the mess food is okayish, sometimes they are not hygienic and they have insects in them

from 3rd year we will be going through internship placements and big companies such as amazon, microsoft, uber, mckinsey, png, larsen and turbo, dr reddy's, indian oil, bharat petroleum, cpc, ipc, and much more have visited with highest package of 55 lpa by microsoft. the average package depends on the department, for the circuital depts it is aronud 24lpa, whereas for non circuital it is 14 lpa. usually over 96% gets placed. my plan after degree is to take a job and then go for highers

- Weather : the climate in tiruchirapalli can be hot and humid for significance part of the year , which may be uncomfortable for not South Indian
- Limited industry exposure: Despite strong placement records, some students might feel that there is a need for more exposure to industry and internships to better prepare them for corporate world
- Remote location: Nit Trichy is located in tiruchirapalli , which through historically significant. May be considered remote by some students who prefers to be close to major cities

What is your review about NIT trichy electronics and communication branch?

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.
All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).
Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.
The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.
Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!
