- Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
- Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
- You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways

- The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
- Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
- This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

- Placement opportunities are a lot to grab and they provide internship opportunities
- Supportive faculty if you want to do research
- Great sports who want to explore their options.
Dislikes
- We need to adjust for the mess food regarding spices and all.
- If you don't have cycle or cycle repair then it will be difficult to go from one place to another place.
Placement Experience:
Our college provides placements and it's the best part here. If you are an average student also you will get placed in a very good company with decent salary. The companies they bring are also standard and are trustable.
There will be a campus placement team which helps and coordinate between students and companies for smooth process.

- I really liked the campus, like it is very big you will feel literally a small city inside it.
- There are many peoples to interact with all with great minds, even there are 4-5 fests per year, you can take part in thier organising team in the first year itself so that you will not feel bored here.
Dislikes
- The hostels are old hostels, they need improvement. I felt disappointing after coming in the hostels.
- The mees food is not that good in first year, but while coming in the second year, you can choose your mess in whichever you are willing to eat.
- There are no ACs in classroom and it's very hot in the summer.
Placement Experience:
After completing the course only you are eligible for campus placements. But if you done internship in a company and the company is impressed by your work so the pre-placed you in the company. After the course completion, you can join. Software companies like Google, Microsoft,etc. and reliance, Infosys,etc. around 150 companies comes including startups as well.
Placements percentage are around 75-90 percent depending on department.
My plans are for MBA abroad.

- The exposure I get here is really unmatched. The amount of experiences I am gaining being part of various clubs, fest teams and ncc is really helping me evolve into a very different person.
- Having numerous number of clubs. You can literally try out all your interests and finally land up on something you love.
- Academics wise, I wont say every professor is very good but you have ample amount of resources to cope up if you end up with a bad professor. But some of the professors are really wonderful the guide us throughout our journey.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities, they are taking 1 lakh per year but its not upto that mark. Not very bad but has a lot of scope of improvement.
- Internet quality throughout the college should be improved especially in places like library.
Placement Experience:
As a fresher I have seen my seniors getting placed in canpus placements. It is really good with an average lpa of our branch staying around 12 lpa and almost 95% getting placed its wonderful. Even for other branches, internship opportunities and scope for master are remarkable.

- Mess - you can choose your mess every month of different cuisine
- There is no curfew time for boys from 2nd year
- Mess menu is balanced perfectly , they provide both healthy and tasty food
Dislikes
- Wifi is very poor and there is no proper mobile signal available in campus due to the crowd
- There is no washing machines, you have wash by your own or go to nearby laundry shop they take a week to deliver dresses
- The college gets hectic from 2 nd year and reached peak in the third year. You can be free in fourth year if you placed early
Placement Experience:
The placement is great in college . But now it's dull and slow due to recession. Hopefully it will get better . For placements we get trained every strictly with many rules to be followed by us or will face some consequences. The seniors are your placement coordinators , they guide you .

- Beautiful campus, infrastructure, fests and activities happening everytime in campus. Sports and extra curricular activities opportunities to play on a good level of sports and playing tournaments at national level like ALL INDIA INTER NIT sportsfete
- Academics , internship and placement oppertunity, value of college tag.
Dislikes
- No water in 1st year boys hostel, too much hot weather, no washing machine for 1st year boys, curfew for 1st year boys.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for internship from 5th semester while for placement they are eligible from 7th semester and mostly by the end of 8th sem everyone gets placed or get admission in Universities for further studies. Google, Microsoft,etc comes for placement in tech field and for core branches L&T, Mercedes, etc comes for.placement .mostly 90%+ of students who sits for placement get placed in placements.

- Student culture is very nice here and lot of clubs are there where you enjoy your hobby or make it as your passion.
- Sports culture is very good here ,lot of grounds in good condition and a nice indoor sports complex is there with all the necessary equipments.
- Placement ratio is very good almost every branch reaching to 100% placement rates which is considered as a very good
Dislikes
- Here we have 75% attendance criteria which sometimes sucks but it is fine.
- A bit of language barrier and restrictions in some club if you don't know Tamil.
- Marks are based on teachers mood if his mood is bad they can be very strict.
Placement Experience:
Our college have average of 90% placement and my branch have 100% placement rates, all the major tech companies Google Microsoft goldmann sac and PSU complaines come here with giving highest package of 55 lakhs

- The place is very good, simle and super.
- I like Cycling in this college.Fests conducted.
- College provide different opportunities for the students.
Dislikes
- I don't like food provided in the college
- There are no many shops in the college where we get alla things
- I don't like hostel rooms in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose ece because we can have so many alternatives.if we choose cse there is only one option software job.The class timings and exam timings are well scheduled.No need to improve in method of teaching techniques.

- The things I like about nitt is that there is so much freedom for boys from 2nd year. There is no curfew for boys.
- Octagon aka computer lab is open for students 24/7. This helps for students development.
- Catering services are really good, it is open even during the nights.
Dislikes
- The wifi service are provided in the hostels have less wifi bandwidth.
- There are less seats for paid gyms, this makes it hard to register for one.
- The food provided by the hostels are ain't tasty.
Placement Experience:
There is a specific department for the placements which is named as training and placement department where each department students will be trained for placements and internships. The number of companies that visits our campus are around 200. 4th year students are eligible for campus placements.

- nit trichy have one of the toughest academics among all good colleges that motivates me more to study
- the campus is full of green tress which i love the most and good for health too
- professors are always helpful and they even solve doubt if it is needed
Dislikes
- there are few things i dislike such as library is far away from my department
- sometimes roads are full of mud it causes musquitos and insects to come in rooms
- every day i have to eat idli vada dosa and upma for breakfast
Course Curriculum Overview:
it has one of the hardest academic design among top colleges, that is quite challenging to do specially when you are surrounded by people with almost same knowledge as you, and yeah teachingmethod is quite good too

- all faculties are very attentive.they come on time never bunk and come late in class.They are very serious regarding academics with each and every student.
- sports facilities are very good.you can go everyday to play.there are two large courts for fun .first one is sports complex and second one is gjch-golden jubliee.moreover hostels are spacious where you can also play on weekands with your friends.
- seniors are very supportive.you will get many hindi seniors here even if you are not tamil or teluge you should not worry.they reduce the burden of language barrier.they want you to learn things and grow together.they make you aware of the things .
Dislikes
- lots of distance between hostels and lecture hall.mess is also far away from our hostels.
- temperature whole year is totally unbearable. lots of heat will shower on you throughout the year.
- food quality is not good here for north indians .if you are from north you will suffer.
Course Curriculum Overview:
my dept is civil so i neither hate it or like it.its good to see that my course connects with more practical things like building houses,bridges as compared to other branches but the sad part is our placement percentage is low.for further academic pursuits civil is the best option i must say as you can give many govt exams in it like ssc-je ,gate, ese etc.you can pursue phd and become professors at elite institutes.you can go for highers too.i think course curriculum is too old that needs to be modified.smart boards can be a part of modern teachings.in a sem two 20 mark exams happen which is called here ct-cycle test and at the end end sem happpens of 40-50 marks.

What is your review about NIT trichy electronics and communication branch?

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.
All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).
Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.
The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.
Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!
