Likes
- The exposure I get here is really unmatched. The amount of experiences I am gaining being part of various clubs, fest teams and ncc is really helping me evolve into a very different person.
- Having numerous number of clubs. You can literally try out all your interests and finally land up on something you love.
- Academics wise, I wont say every professor is very good but you have ample amount of resources to cope up if you end up with a bad professor. But some of the professors are really wonderful the guide us throughout our journey.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities, they are taking 1 lakh per year but its not upto that mark. Not very bad but has a lot of scope of improvement.
- Internet quality throughout the college should be improved especially in places like library.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is currently evolving so cant say much. But i feel the way they are moving forward with the changes its a positive one for sure. Current one has lot of opportunities in choosing electives with slight restrictions.
Internships Opportunities
At the end of 2nd year and 3rd Internship opportunities are provided to the students. Various decent companies come for hiring and the intake is great as well. At the end of 3 rd year the Internship is a must do and hence more often all people endup getting Internships..
Placement Experience
As a fresher I have seen my seniors getting placed in canpus placements. It is really good with an average lpa of our branch staying around 12 lpa and almost 95% getting placed its wonderful. Even for other branches, internship opportunities and scope for master are remarkable.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees is actually 62500 per sem. Odd sems additional 25000 will be added as annual charges. Assistance to students with financial problem is provided. Income based fee waiver system. Hostel and mess fees are around 1 Lakh per year. Slightly on the expensive side but all facilities for a loan and fee waivers are available.
Campus Life
Campus life in NIT trichy is the bestm 4 Fests every year to make our lives better. Number of clubs to try out our interests. Great sports facilities, proper induction process towards fest teams and infrastructure is pretty decent as well.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is the only thing which need work to be done. Mess is kinda fine not very bad. Some days are really good while the others suck. Hostels have a lot of problem including water scarcity, internet wi-fi problems, damaged items and amny more. Needs improvement.
Admission
Admission to this college is done through JEE Main examination which happens twice every year in the month of january and april. The toughness level is on the higher side as it is ranked as one of the toughest exams in the world. Reservation quotas as per the Indian government is applicable. Faculty
Faculties it actually depends. All of them have really high qualifications such as P.hd from international universities but not everyone are approachable. Some are very much energetic and encourages everyone towards studying. Teaching part almost everyone does to a decent level. Mentorship is quite good as well. The ratio of student to teacher is around 1:12. It is managable
