Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways

Dislikes

The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

nit trichy a place for dreamers

the campus is spread over a large area with a lot of peoples coming from different cultures and background.
the faculty at college is of top class.All are highly skilled and have so depth knowledge about their courses.students often find professors helpfull in every aspect .
nit trichy has best placement cell in every aspecr.it has an excellent track record of placing student of all fields. even the core branch students also get oppurtunity to apply for other tech ,management and other job profiles.

Dislikes

there is a tendency to stick to a certain group ,particularly in beggining days among peoples.this can sometime make it hard for new students to integrate fully
the teaching faculty is good but sometimes their teching method feeels so traditional in some departments.there are some professor who still does not stress much on innovation they want students to mug up the answers
while there is so much oppurtunity for placements but still the students of core branches feel difficulty in getting good packages and sometimes even getting placed.

Placement Experience:

students can avail placement from 7th semsester.this timeline allows students to focus on academic and internship during the earlir semesters while prepsring for placement in senior years. on an average 80 to 90 % students get placed in capus placements every year. the highest package offered last year was approx 80 lpa for some civil guy. all the companies which visit iit madras comes to nit trichy also like ggogle,microsoft,amazon,accenture,wipro etc.

Life in NIT Trichy

Likes

I like the senior junior bonding in the campus
I like the campus environment and most of the students use only cycle
We can make a great bond with people all around India

Dislikes

The hostels infrastructure can be improved, and also the restriction of the rules.

Placement Experience:

The placements through college are good but most of the students over here are interested in startups and government jobs, sonthey will not sit for the placements which is given my the college itself.

NIT TRICHY PRIDE OF INDIA

Firstly i liked the campus life of my college. my college nit trichy comes under the india's top colleges. greenery is everywhere. campus size around 700 acres and with lots of flora and fauna. my college has excellent infrastructure.
second comes the curriculum as we have a good examination patterns and decent subjects for overall reach of the student. teachers are also highly qualified and humble and kind. apart from this most of them have done phd from top IITs.
third is the facilities provided by our college. like the 24/7 library and the computer centre. wifi is provided in every room in the hostel. all the sports facilities like swimming, cricket, football and many more are provided.

Dislikes

one thing i dislike is the distance between any two place is quite large as the campus size is very big.
then comes the stray dogs spread in the whole campus. they can be annoying somewhat like while eating something on streets will attract stray dogs.
i also dislike the hectic schedule of classes. like 4 class each day 4 days a week plus three lab courses for 3 days a week

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Top companies inlcuded Google, Honeywell, HP, Oracle, Morgan Stanley, Nvidia, and many more. After asking some seniors they told that the highest package was of around 53 LPA which was for multiple departments. Being a first year grad I don't know much about placements but as far as I know all the Branch has a placement percentage greater than 93-94%. Like for cse it is around 97% , ece and eee got 96% and for my branch production engineering it is somewhere between 94%. Average package for my branch in recent years is around 16LPA while the median is around 13LPA and the highest to be around 38LPA. Coming to my plans, I like mathematics a lot. So I have decided to learn machine learning and AI apart from my production engineering. We have decent companies offering a decent package for production engineering students pursuing some circuital skills.

Campus Life and Opportunities at NIT Trichy

Infrastructure is good, with new and good design buildings. Sports complex is there where students can play numerous sports like badminton,tennis,basketball,etc.Gym facility is also there.
Professors are helpful and cooperative, they clear all our doubts related to academics. Student council is there which is run by students and NITT has students supremacy there ,all the majority work is dine by students here
Placement is good for our batch, highest package for 2023 production engineering branch was 38LPA,while average was 14 LPA.Various companies came for recruitment including Google,microsoft,Amazon,and many more.Over 220+ companies came for hiring

Dislikes

I don't like Home state reservation.This affects the surrounding ,major South Indian people sticks to their groups and does not communicate with North Indians.
Hostels are old ,and there is not any facility of washing machine, while other NIT colleges have this facility.
Lack of lights at the NSO main ground,I find difficulty in running there at night.

Placement Experience:

At the starting of their 4th year students start for applying for placements. Placements are good for my college,last year highest package was 52 LPA while almost 90-95 percent students gets placed while others went for higher studies.In production brach 90 percent students gets placed and average package was around 14 LPA while highest was 38 LPA. around 220 companies visit here including Google, microsoft, Amazon , Goldman Sachs, and many more top companies.

First year experience in NIT TRICHY

The college fests and cultural part is enthusiastic
Events , clubs and decent placements are best

Dislikes

The infrastructure can be better for nirf 9th university
The Syllabus and system can be advanced to be practical
Scope of improvement in immediate response of students needs and proper hygiene can be attributed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus in MME is more towards chemistry and physics inclined .. Since 1st yr syllabus is similar to all branches ... The JEE syllabus is almost 60% here in 1st yr .... Teachers either chalk talk or use ppt while teaching Most of them send their ppts or suggest books which u can follow for your exams ... But i feel the curriculum can be advanced...and practical

Lack of Lab Facilities and lack of equipments in Lab
Curfew for Girls After 9 they can't rome around the campus after 9'o clock they are not allowed to boy hostel premises and the Gender ratio is very worst like 1:3 and 1:4 in some Departments
Very Rough Weather in Trichy it's location is 20km far away from main TRICHY city we should travel to Trichy if we want to do shopping 🛒 or Restaurants etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to curriculum Monday to Friday they conduct classes and 8'o Clock to11.30am and they will conduct 2 cycle tests and 1 end semester exam in a particular semester and 1cylcle test will be completed in 3days and poor teaching methods and medium difficulty level. NIT Trichy Experience thus far

Likes

Campus is large, with adequate sports facilities. There are 2 gyms with varying levels of equipment functionality. Infrastructure is above average for all departments.
Central Library was a Big Yes for me. Has all genres of books and enough seating capacity.
Mess serves both North and South Indian cuisine. There are special meals twice a week. Hygiene is good.

Dislikes

Some hostels have old infractructure without proper drinking water availability. 3 occupancy rooms for 1st years make it a bit congested and off putting.
The campus is very far from any urban centres so there are very few places for entertainment. There can also be language barrier for North Indians outside the campus
The climate is very hot. Year around. Summers last for 8 months and that makes it hard to enjoy sports and outdoor walks

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent. 60% of the roles on campus are software related. Most core branch students also prepare for coding or analytics related roles. Although I would say one must choose a circuital branch at a lower college over core branch here. Currently the IT Hiring is under recession so less jobs are seen on campus and even fewer internship openings particularly from Core Branches. Highest packages are between 50-90LPA on campus and average for CSE would be around 25LPA, for ECE, EEE 20LPA and core branches 12-15LPA. Pre Recession placements percentage was upwards of 90% for every department and nearly 100% for CSE. I ultimately plan to get an MBA or an MS in Finance abroad. Before that I would want to get some experience as an analyst at a buy side firm or a bank.

Yes placement is pretty decent for this college and most of the top branded companies visit here like Google, Microsoft, McKinsey, Oracle, PhonePe, and some PSU's as well like HPCL, BPCL etc. Most of the students are able to get placed till the end

4 years which cant be forget in whole life

I like the environment with full of tress and lush green atmosphere
the professors who are extremely experienced and approachable
The management is so friendly so that we can approach them in any situation

Dislikes

curfew for girls ,Girls shouldnt go after 9pm
Every process is an offline process and so lengthy
Tamil people dominance as it is in Tamil Nadu

The placements in our college for circuital are good but for non-circuital departements it so pathetic. Most of the companies which are visiting our college include our alumni .Every company gives offer,but it will be mostly dependent on thier requiement.

Nit trichy College experience

Likes

Placement is good in our college for both circuital and non-circuital
100 percent placement is there for computer science department
College campus is big and lots of greenery is there.

Dislikes

Lots of renovations required in college.
Buildings are older as comparison to other new college
New canteen required for north indian food.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester we are eligible for placement and 6 month internship. Placement percent is almost 100 for cse department and 90 percent for all departments in nit trichy. Average package of cse is 2900000.

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.

The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.

Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.

All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).

Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.
