- the campus is spread over a large area with a lot of peoples coming from different cultures and background.
- the faculty at college is of top class.All are highly skilled and have so depth knowledge about their courses.students often find professors helpfull in every aspect .
- nit trichy has best placement cell in every aspecr.it has an excellent track record of placing student of all fields. even the core branch students also get oppurtunity to apply for other tech ,management and other job profiles.
Dislikes
- there is a tendency to stick to a certain group ,particularly in beggining days among peoples.this can sometime make it hard for new students to integrate fully
- the teaching faculty is good but sometimes their teching method feeels so traditional in some departments.there are some professor who still does not stress much on innovation they want students to mug up the answers
- while there is so much oppurtunity for placements but still the students of core branches feel difficulty in getting good packages and sometimes even getting placed.
Course Curriculum Overview
the curicullum at is well structured but sometimes feel traditional old school type. the curicullum is designed to offer both theoretical and practical knowledge but sometimes you will feel more stress is on theory part. classes are mainly four theory classes daily and one lab class .
Internships Opportunities
various companies like microsoft, google, qualcomm,mcKinsey etc provide internship oppurtunities. google provide internship in role of software engineering intern. stipend approx 60000 to 100000 per month. microsoft provide oppurtunity for data science interns stipend around 70000. in qualcomm students get to know about hardware and software integration.stipend40000 to 60000 mcKinsley provide oppurtunites for post of consulting intern. stipend 80000 to 100000 per month
Placement Experience
students can avail placement from 7th semsester.this timeline allows students to focus on academic and internship during the earlir semesters while prepsring for placement in senior years. on an average 80 to 90 % students get placed in capus placements every year. the highest package offered last year was approx 80 lpa for some civil guy. all the companies which visit iit madras comes to nit trichy also like ggogle,microsoft,amazon,accenture,wipro etc.

Campus Life
riveira is the cultural fest held mainly in january and february.it's vibrant and diverse event with various cultural activities dance ,drama,musicand arts competetion.students from all over the country participate in this the festember is the cultural and techincal fest held anually in september. the books are of every field ,the cental libraray is one of the most famous place of nit trichy. there are various clubs like nakshatra,delta,spyder etc they all help students to improve their skill in their respective field. the sports facility is not that top noch but still upto mark we have many playground and one big sports comlex along with gym facility. students run various social groups and clubs for example ignite.they help local students of trichy to prepare for jee mains and advanced.
Hostel Facilities
the hostel are decent with acccomodation of 3 students in first year and two from onward years. mess food quality is not maintained by college as they give tender to private contractors so food quality is mainly bad. with admission process itself you can apply for hostel just fill a form and you pay the fees and you will be alotted a room in hostel.hostels are afgordable if you compare from locality.
Admission
nit trichy is widely regarded at the top nit of india that's why i chossed this college. i applied for iits and some private colleges also but finally i decided to join this college as i felt here i will get better oppurtunities. i got rejected from iiit hyderabad in interview round as i reached 10 minutes late. our college takes admission mainly based on jee mains for btech and gate for mtech
Faculty
approx there is one proffesor for a class of 60 to 70 students. i would not like to name someone but our chemistry faculty only stressed on mugging up answer and just go and copy paste in exam no thinking at all. our all other professors were good especially mechanical in the first class itself he gave us a project to serach for better pavement options from which we got to learn so much. there are maily two cycke test and and one endsem approx 90 to 80 % students clear exams.
Night Life
nightlife is not for first yars as we have curfew time 9:45 but from second year onwards there is no curfew for boys but for girls i think there is still curfew. there are so many fun places inside campus like lassi shop,bihari dhaba ,caffe coffee day etc . students mainly hangout at place called mig in night and outside campus there are so many place to visit like thanjavur temple,chatram ,rameshwaram and all
