Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways

Dislikes

The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

Life at nit trichy

Likes

Culture varies , but you learn a lot from their culture and its pretty fun to be honest
Students are of top tier quality, so you get a lot competitive atmosphere
Being in south a lot of visiting places are nearby From college so saves us travelling time

Dislikes

Mess food , we have variety but sometimes they make okish food
Natives are not unable to understand english and hindi so communication is a bit difficult
Most of the teachers are motivating but some also demotivate us

Placement Experience:

College placements are very good , we even have internships opportunities both under the professors as research intern as well as through their referral . We have rigourous exams (OT) for various companies through which we sit for their internship and placement

the things I have liked in campus is some of the faculty are too good and provide future map of career
the girls to boys ratio in my class is like 30 girls and 41 boys in class
the campus life in the evening is good all are friendly and social to eachother

Dislikes

the weather of nit trichy is too much humid and hot that when we have to go to class in this kind of weather it's being too hard to do this
the infrastructure is quite simple and not that exciting
the things I disliked most is the language barrier their are 3 language in majority Tamil Telegu and Hindi and it's very hard to communicate and their may be some miscommunication which cause trouble

Placement Experience:

the placements depends on the branch like for my branch EEE the placementsa are good from like 6th sem the student can become eligible for placements some of the companies which have visited the college are like nVIDIA, tata ,tcs intel and many other companies

Pretty decent placements with average package of 14lpa for production engineering department with top firm P&G, Unilever, Google, Amazon, etc.. so its worth choosing nitt over other colleges unless you get into iits

A glance into Life at NIT Trichy

Likes

College has many clubs and fests that keeps us more engaged and joyful.
Involvement of students in taking official decisions is appreciated.
The curriculum is very nice and is in match with current soceity needs and upgradations.

Dislikes

The roads connecting hostels and academic buildings are in worst condition.
Heaters and washing machines in hostels do not work properly.
Often we face water scarcity in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more based on what is the requirement cuurently in the industry and changes are made every year to maintain its standard and quality.Areas of improvement needed in teaching methods is that instead of just reading the ppts, it will be nice if teacher uses some practical way to explain the concept or adds more examples to the slides. The Class tests occur within a gap of month and their difficulty level is moderate.

Everything about Nit Trichy

Likes

First of all , Infrastructure wise it is good ,new buildings are being constructed,Nit Trichy is a huge lush green campus surrounding 600 acres
Course curriculum is updated,so it's good ,there are mock interview and placement preparation in the campus by 4th year students.
Everyday some event is going on in the campus ,so it's lot of fun , Especially during festember,the largest cultural fest of South India.

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is about 1:5.Most of the facilities are very highly qualified but the classes are very boring.
I think proper work should be done in the old hostels .
For some specific branches like eee,the curriculum is very hectic for the students

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit from placement from the end of 3rd semester.The highest package was about 55lpa ,in core branches like cse,eee ,ece,ice the placement percentage is above 90%.My plan is to prepare for upsc after my degree.Google, Microsoft,Psu,Itc..

The campus is well maintained , with state of the art laboratories, sports facilities, and recreational area.
The faculty of Nit Trichy are highly qualified with a significant number holding Ph.d degrees.
the institutes fosters a vibrant campus life with various clubs, events and cultural activities.

Dislikes

The gender ratio at Nit Trichy is approximately 23% female to 77%male.
Enhancing counselling services and mental health support can further improve the well being of students.
The faculty are approachable and dedicated to students success.

Typically , students become eligible for the formal campus placement drive during the pre final year(around 6th semester). companies visited every year: .Tata Consultancy Services .Infyosis .Wipro .Larsen and Toubro .Accenture .IBM .Capgemini .Microsoft .Amazon Highest package in 2024 is 70 lpa Avg package is 17 lpa in 2024 around 93 % placement in 2024

There are several aspects which I like so much like campus life , social interaction with different cultural belonging people .
Faculty's teaching methods are quite impressive ,they solve students's doubts both online and offline .

Nothing thing which I could dislike but language barriers is faced by me
Market foods are completely south indian which I don't like .

Likes

Infrastructure is good . Facilities are good
Mess food is better and menu have both north and south indian items
Lab equipments are good .Hostels are equipped with good basic facilities

Dislikes

Language barrier .People are majority tamil
Shirts are not allowed in classrooms and libraries even for boys
Lecture hall dost have drinking water facilities

Placementa are pretty good for upper branches and people from other branches can as well apply for jobs other than their own degree Aluminies in top companies of the world guides their juniors on how to get good jobs

college life in NIT Trichy

A very beautiful campus life in NIT Trichy , neat and clean classroom with fan and cool water facilities available in lecture hall complex , there is seperate lectures halls for students , here is seperate building for each department .
NIT Trichy has big NSO ground , gym , table tennis court , vollyball , football ground , basketball court , hockey , cricket and indoor games such as chess , carrom etc facilities are also available , and festember , cultural fest program .
There is Central library in which each types of books are available such as engineering , physics , mathematics , chemistry , philosophy , computer science , ethics , political , economics , physiology and many more .

Dislikes

you may face some kind of languages barrier because here is mostly people speak in English or tamil , other languages people are also here but they are less in compare to tamil and english .
you may face some kind of food variance if you are from north Indian but North indian food is also available . So don't worry , chill guys .
The weather is hot normally in every season , you may feel hot environment if you used to live in North where all types season are come and go but here is summer is constant.

NIT Trichy is a treat!!

There are dozens of things about NIT Trichy which are exceptional but to name the best it has to be the alumni network that our college has.
Civil is indeed one of the oldest branch of the college and therefore its a privilege to study civil engineering from here.
Our tech fest Pragyan is next to IIT Bombays tech fest as students from all too colleges are invited to participate in our tech fest.

Dislikes

Our academic schedule is more hectic than anyone and therefore it is hard to take time out for many important things.

After two years of hard training that is in second and third year, we get placements opportunities with top infra builders. Not just dosmetoc companies but international companies like Emmar MGF has also hired students from our college. Gulf developers and many such has offered us placements worth 30 lakhs or even know access. Around 85% is the placements ratio and 9-10 lakhs is what one and average students of our branch from NIT Trichy are paid.

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.

The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.

Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.

All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).

Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.
