Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum includes a mix of theoretical coursework, labs and project based learning. For undergraduate programs, there are core courses, elective courses which are divided to program electives and open electives, laboratories, project works and internships

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies offering roles in core, software and management branches offer internship to students during 5th or 6th semester for summer with stipend usually from 20000 to 200000 based on the role offered Students can also opt to do research projects under faculties in the institute

Placement Experience

Pre placement opportunities are provided for students from 5th or 6th semester for summer internship and students are eligible for campus placements after 7th semester Highest salary:27lpa Average:9.53lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is approximately 161200 per year excluding hostel and mess fees Scholarships are provided based on merit for academic performance, for students from economically weaker sections, for students who are eligible for national scholarship schemes or other various state wise scholarships and there is also a provision for scholarship for sc/st/obc and students with disabilities

Campus Life

Festember is a cultural fest which is held every September Pragyan is a technical fest for every semester NITT fest is an intra college cultural fest Sportsfete is sports festival for every semester Genesis is an entrepreneurship summit

Hostel Facilities

Facilities provided in hostel room are Ethernet provision or wifi provision, cots, tables, chairs, cupboards. Meal quality is decent and menu is south or north indian Registration for hostel is done during 1st year and mess can be registered or changed every month

Hostel Fee: INR 80200 per year

Admission

A minimum percentage in 12th is required to be eligible for admission in nitt. Then based on the cut off percentile of mains exam, students can take admission. Mains is conducted every year for students who pass their 12th grade

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is approximately 1:17 which is pretty decent when compared to other institutions. It facilitates better interaction between students and faculties enabling personal attention and guidance.

Your Concise review and guide to nit trichy

Placement Experience:

The students start sitting for placement from 6th semester i.e the end of third year itself, while many students start getting job offers at the start of 7th semester itself. The placememt percentage here is very good it is around 90% amd the average placement for 2025 placement session is around 15.76 lakh or maybe higher since results are not made available to us ye, the highest offer is around 55lakh+ according to some fourth year students. The number of companies visiting us are many; they include tech giants such as google,microsoft,amazon, sony, samsung, NVIDIA, quolcomm, AMD, Yahoo and highliting companies are Ceat, Volvo, Wolkswagen, LT, Bosch, mcafee and the list goes on and on and on. i plan on getting a job and then going for higher studies in a foreign university.

Life at NITT

Placement Experience:

Students sit for placements from the seventh semester. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, SAP Labs, AMD, IBM, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Citi, Visa, Warner Bros, Amazon, Rubrik, Meesho, P&G, ITC, etc visit. Placement Experience:

avg package is 12.56 lakh in mechanical branch placements is overall very good above than 87% . highest was around 62 lakhs but in circuital branch . i want a good hand salary job after that i want to give rest to my parents .

NIT TRICHY- COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

The placements are the best part of this college. This college provides a very good placements both on and off campus to its students the placement percentage is also very good for all the branches ofcourse the placement packages are higher for students of CSE AND ECE branches but others also get a very good package. Students get eligible for placements from the 4th year some even get a PPO from the company they do their intership at in the third year. Big and Prominent comapnies visit our college such as Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Tata Steel, Qualcom, NVIDIA and more recently they gave around 900 offers to the students the highest package was aroung 65 lpa and the average package stood at 16 lpa for the college which is very good as compared to other colleges. The student placement percentage is also very good where aroung 85-90 percent of the students gets placed evey year in defferent sectors like software, Data Science, Management and Core sectors of their branch.

From my JEE MAINS result i could have got any college in the country except the IITs and BITS i didn't applied to any other college other than this because i was clear that i want to go to the best NIT of the country which is NIT Trichy. I would have got a seat in any NIT of the country but choose to go with this one because of the rank and placement staticstics of this college and the peer group is also very smart and innovative. I qualified JEE ADVANCED but could'nt secure a good rank to secure a seat in any of the IIT so i think that went wrong for me the admission process was through the JOSSA counselling and CSAB counselling , the exam which is needed to be qualified is the JEE MAINS exam for the B.TECH course.
