Seamanship instructors are very well trained. They will give u every detail information about the task for better understanding

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course was very interesting. It completes all the practical aspects of navigation and stability and exams are of medium level if you study properly then you will find exams very easy. Although the duration of the course is appropriate

Likes

They have structured programme which is very helpful for study and exam preparation
Best training for seamanship provided by intructor who has already worked in indian navy
Experienced faculty who has worked on ship...they just doesn't teach but also share their personal experiences

Dislikes

Mess management was not upto the mark... Many a time they got late in providing food at time
Playground was small... We cannnot play multiple games at a time
Shore leave management was not good only 4 hours a week

Placement Experience:

Campus placement does not matter in dns course as all the candidates already have sponsorship in their hands but still they provide campus placement to the interested candidates who wants to swith his/her company and to get better career opportunities. Average package varies company to company but it is around 50000?

Best campus for maritime studies

Likes

The faculties and the their teaching experience gave us very good exposure with the industry
The placements are very good considering the fees and other institutes which charge twice or thrice the fees
The sea facing campus with the humid climate

Dislikes

The food because everything here has South Indian punch. If you are someone who like South Indian food then it's good

Placement Experience:

Campus provides placement in the best companies like Torm shipping, chevron, Asp shipping, Synergy group, Stena and many more. The placements record is approximately 80%. If students don't get placement then the one year time period is given by the college in which they will get priority for placements.

A life of a Cadet

Likes

The quality skill development of student for navigation skills full ship infrastructure deep knowledge of ships
Day to day bonding with different state boys learning their cultural and traditional skills
Best quality food and learning national maps at same place

Dislikes

Isolating from social life became a lonely man and fill depressed
Not able to pay huge amount of fees due to lots of boys comming from low background
Many Institute are far from city we feel isolate

All about my experience at Tolani maritime institute.

Likes

Placements are great here and everyone gets placed here.
The people are very welcoming so it is easy to get along.
The infrastructure here is great as we are surrounded by a lake.

Dislikes

The admission process is very lengthy and could take long sometimes.
The syllabus is very big and takes time to finish all of it before the exam.
The college is far from the city so it takes time to reach the city.

Placement Experience:

Well we only have 1 year here so we are placed in the beginning of the year itself. There are many companies like synergy, BW, EPS and have offered 20000-30000. The packages range from 25000-50000. All the students here get placed so it is 100% placement here at tolani maritime institute. After my degree I'll go for cadet ship for 18 months with my company.

i like the campus. it is not so much big but have everything
campus are rules are good which add everything in it.
food is ok in campus.Not so much good not so much bad

Dislikes

campus is so small. warden are not good at all.
teacher are also not good. some are best at their work
some are not good at work . placement problem

My views about my Institute

Likes

I mostly liked the infrastructure and the food.
The environment was also good they kept it very clean.
The campus was very neat and tidy overall a good place.

Dislikes

The campus rules and regulations are very strict
There was no wifi available in the campus
There were no games like competition held

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose DNS(Diploma in nautical science) because this is the best I found because it gives you a training period for sure and it leads to your job further if you perform well in your further exams. There are many more benefits to it.

Tolani maritime institute

Likes

Everything was in order. I place was a bit strict but that is what we need onboard ships.
The campus had everything anyone would ever need.
The college was extremely beautiful and fun.

Dislikes

The senior where quite strict they did gave punishment to junior if they did anything wrong .
The schedule was quite tough to follow for the students.

From 2nd semester itself, students are eligible for campus placement. Companies are BW, STENA BULK, NYK, K LINE, SHELL, CHEVRON, and TEEKAY TANKERS to name a few. Everyone gets around 12-15. lakhs per year package. 100% of students get placed After my degree, I plan to get rich.

What's different in IMI?

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen DNS because it is for one year and provides pre-sponsorship. And in IMI there are the best Faculty. The way of teaching is very great. Almost all the Faculty are Master Mariners. And every month once there is a terms exam which builds the confidence of Cadets and makes easy to pass final exams.

Placement Experience:

Placement are 100%. Each of the student is placed after the course in thete own company. Cadets gets stipend around 10k -40k per month and beside this the living and food cost is seperate which is provided by the company.
