Course Curriculum Overview

The course was very interesting. It completes all the practical aspects of navigation and stability and exams are of medium level if you study properly then you will find exams very easy. Although the duration of the course is appropriate

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 770000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure changes every year as per the facilities they are giving to you. They provide various scholarships if you are good at your studies. And Best part is they provide you with house placements. Their placement rates are 100%

Campus Life

My overall experience was very good. They organise many nautical competitions in which different maritime colleges take place. The competition is completely based on your nautical and marine engineering knowledge

Admission

You should have scored more than 60% in PCM and aggregate 50% in PCM (each subject) and your age should not be less than 17 and more than 21. Reservation benefits will totally depends on the college.

Faculty

The faculty is highly qualified. They will treat u very well. They will provide many handwritten notes and adequate study material. They use every medium for your better understanding and they conduct monthly examinations to test your knowledge which is very helpful.

Likes

I like the overall campus I was a great experience
Faculty is also good with good nature and knowledge
Infrastructure is also amazing you get everything you want

Dislikes

The wardens are strict more to us the other students
Sometimes the food is not well prepared as expected
Campus is too big so we to go far away for the things

Placement Experience:

After the final semester students are eligible to get the placement after some months Anglo eastern,great eastern and more but I made in this college ESM Package is depend on the position 100% placement form this college

everything here is good and well maintained especially the environment , this is hill station you can even enjoy most unrealistic view , discipline is also maintained with no ragging at all , because of you are bound by legal form about anti ragging
canteen food and especially breakfast and gym area
faculty is highly skilled here having experience as captain

Dislikes

time schedule and playground area and some language barrier is here
campus is not that big which seems little boring

Placement Experience:

after completing this last semseter you will be send directly to ship for further training , executive ship management will assign you ship based on your rank ,100% students get placement it all depends on waiting period of getting ship , after getting degree apply for 2nd mate college and get license to sail as an officer

My views about my Institute

Likes

I mostly liked the infrastructure and the food.
The environment was also good they kept it very clean.
The campus was very neat and tidy overall a good place.

Dislikes

The campus rules and regulations are very strict
There was no wifi available in the campus
There were no games like competition held

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose DNS(Diploma in nautical science) because this is the best I found because it gives you a training period for sure and it leads to your job further if you perform well in your further exams. There are many more benefits to it.

The placement is very good in this college. We can also apply before the course starts. That is called a letter of recommendation. we can apply to any shipping company. They will provide us with internships and get placement.

Placement Experience:

Placement are 100%. Each of the student is placed after the course in thete own company. Cadets gets stipend around 10k -40k per month and beside this the living and food cost is seperate which is provided by the company.

Remarks:

Nothing bad to say and had a wonderful time there. The college management was always there for us. They took care of our needs every time. and I would say that if anyone wants to join merchant navy they should try their luck with TRAINING SHIP RAHAMAN.

All the infrastructure is excellent surrounded with nature

Remarks:

Well i dont have any negative coments about the college.yes we do have cons but not that important that we cant stay their any. All the faculty is excellent ,Infrastructure is very well maintained and furnished.all the facilities given to us are well maintained.Accomodation is good

The Best Marine College in India

The eligibility for the Btech course was very simple. We just needed 60% marks in Physics and Maths in our 12th standard. The application form can be found at the college's official website and it should be properly filled. The application fee is 500 rupees and then we get a date for our entrance exams. There are no reserved seats for students here as the admission is purely based on merit. The improvement that I wish to see in the admission process is that the written exam should be taken a little more difficult than the normal expectations. All about btech in SIMS , Lonavala

I gave IMUCET it's the govt exam for govt colleges regarding this field ( merchant Navy ) there is reservation so as being general category I didn't get admission there gave college exam of SIMS and then interview and got selected, it was a smooth experience nothing complicated.
