Course Curriculum Overview
Basically, IMS conducts 2 courses first GME, which is 1year pre-sea training course in marine engineering for degree students, and DME which is a 2year pre-sea training course, they provide the best practical knowledge as well as theory also, they organize training In Goa shipyard limited, mormugaon port trust, marine electrical agency, Adani port trust.
College Events
Christmas New year celebration, party was very good we enjoyed alot Anual cultural day Sports Holi, we celebrated holi also we brought colours and played holi, Freshers party was also good We celebrated republic day also and that was very good. each and every function we celebrate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
6. 50 lac for dme and 4. 85 lac for gme, u can pay a fee online via sbi and hdfc payment gateway bye credit cards and debit cards and through internet banking also, I paid my fee through RTGS, u can also pay fee bye physical cash or cheque. After selection u will have to pay 10000 for admission procedure and for medical examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides loan facilitie to students means they give bank phone number and branches. Candidate desirous of obtaining educational loan from bank may approach Bank of India and state bank of India.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good. But this course is only for gents. college provided very good workshop and classrooms and gym, and some sports equipment like balls bat's, carrom, table tennis, chess etc, they have welding workshop, fitting and machining as well as they have 2 auxiliary marine engines and other marine machinery, all workshops and faculty are very good.
Hostel Facilities
This course is completely residential, hostel is very good rooms are also enough for three persons, our hostel has two floors and around 60 rooms are there, hostel has very good food facilitie, they provides internet access too.
Alumni/Alumna
Some seniors students are very good, they are helping us in study and how to manage time means they were telling there experience.
Admission
1st I gave the entrance exam after I got selected for an interview and I cracked the interview and I got select in IMS. Generally, entrance exam is held on in August and the interview is in the month of September, I have chosen this institute because I want to become a marine engineer, and this college is very good.
Faculty
Total 12-15teachers are there, and some of them are chief engineers and others are graduate in mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering and master in Ocean engineering and some of are 4th marine engineer they have very good experience in there field. Average age is above 30 plus.
