PRPCEM Admission Dates 2027

B.Tech admissions for the 2026-27 session have concluded via Maharashtra DTE CAP rounds. MHT-CET 2026 scores and JEE Main 2026 scores were used for allocation. The next B.Tech admission cycle opens with MHT-CET 2027, expected in April to May 2027, followed by DTE CAP rounds from July 2027.

PRPCEM Courses and Fees

PRPCEM offers 7 B.Tech branches, 3 PG programmes (MBA, MCA, M.Tech with 4 specialisations), and Ph.D programmes across 5 disciplines. Total enrolment is approximately 2,208 students across all programmes. Fee data is from the 2025-26 schedule.

Seat intake across B.Tech branches ranges from 60 to 180 per branch. The AI and Machine Learning and AI and Data Science branches are the newer additions offering applied computing curriculum alongside traditional engineering branches.

PRPCEM Admission Process

B.Tech admissions at PRPCEM are through the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP), which uses MHT-CET or JEE Main scores. The college does not conduct its own entrance test.

B.Tech Admission

• Eligibility: 10+2 (Class 12) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC)
• Entrance: Valid MHT-CET score or JEE Main score (both accepted)
• Maharashtra domicile preferred for DTE CAP; non-domicile seats available
• Selection stages: Option form filling on DTE portal, CAP round allotment, reporting at allotted college, document verification
• Institute-level admissions for unfilled seats after DTE CAP rounds close

For Computer Science branches, demand is consistently higher than for Mechanical or Civil branches. Candidates with lower MHT-CET scores (percentile range 60 to 75) typically land CSE or AI branches at PRPCEM through later CAP rounds.

MBA Admission

• Eligibility: Any recognised bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks
• Entrance: MAH-MBA CET, CAT, MAT, or CMAT score required
• Admission through DTE Maharashtra MBA CAP rounds

MCA Admission

• Eligibility: Any bachelor’s degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or UG level, minimum 50% marks
• Entrance: MAH-MCA CET score
• Admission through DTE Maharashtra MCA CAP rounds

M.Tech Admission

• Eligibility: Relevant B.E./B.Tech with minimum 50% marks
• Entrance: GATE score preferred; MHT-CET PG also accepted
• Admission through DTE Maharashtra M.Tech CAP rounds

PRPCEM Placements

PRPCEM’s placement cell coordinates campus recruitment for final-year B.Tech, MBA, and MCA students. In the 2023-24 placement cycle, 455 students were placed from a graduating batch of 564. The remaining 109 students pursued higher studies. The median salary stood at INR 2.40 LPA and the highest package offered was INR 10 LPA.

Recruiters at PRPCEM campus drives have included TCS, Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Cognizant, MPhasis, Vodafone, and other mid-tier IT and technology firms. MBA graduates were placed with a median salary of INR 3 LPA.

PRPCEM Scholarships

PRPCEM students are eligible for Maharashtra government and central government scholarship schemes. Applications are submitted online through state and national scholarship portals.

The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) is available at admission stage itself, with seats reserved under DTE CAP for candidates from families with annual income below INR 8 lakhs. Students should apply for government scholarship schemes by November each academic year through the MahaDBT and NSP portals.

PRPCEM Campus and Infrastructure

The PRPCEM campus covers 8 acres in Amravati, Maharashtra. Despite its compact footprint, the campus accommodates seven B.Tech departments, postgraduate sections, a central library, sports infrastructure, and a dedicated training and placement cell.

The college has separate hostel facilities for male and female students. Engineering laboratories are equipped with modern instruments across all B.Tech disciplines. The IT infrastructure includes a high-speed internet network accessible across the campus. NCC, NSS, and cultural clubs run active student activity programmes throughout the academic year.

The student body comprises 2,208 students with a notable gender balance of 33% male and 67% female across programmes. Around 20% of students come from outside Maharashtra, reflecting the college’s regional reach.

PRPCEM vs PRMITR vs SCET Amravati

Aspirants from Amravati and the Vidarbha region who evaluate PRPCEM typically also consider Prof. Ram Meghe Institute of Technology and Research (PRMITR) and Sipna College of Engineering and Technology (SCET), both private AICTE-approved engineering colleges in Amravati.

PRPCEM holds the strongest NAAC grade among the three and offers MCA in addition to M.Tech and MBA. PRMITR has a larger campus and slightly higher placement headlines. SCET has a bigger land footprint and more competitive fees. All three admit through DTE Maharashtra CAP using MHT-CET or JEE Main scores.
