- Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
- The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
- Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.
Dislikes
- Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
- The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
- It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:
the course and curriculum is good , it has many pros and cons. but I recommend the upcoming students to choose the course as per their wish. not just by seeing some random seniors. and there will be regular exams in all semesters.

- The environment here is good as the students here are all equal as they have studied the same.
- The landscape here is so good due to trees.
- We are provided with so many facilities.
Dislikes
- The college proffesors are not good here.
- We can only use cycle here and we don't have other option.
- Funds are not provided at ther correct time due to government issues.
Placement Experience:
Placements are pretty good in our college for the top tier branches with a placement percantage of 80%. Low tier branches have a cut off of minimum 7.5 CGPA for sitting in the campus interviews. Students get eligibility in 4th year.

- The sex ratio is a bit less like about 25%
- The distance between hostel and academic block is very high

I personally don't like the course contents as the relevance of many courses to the upcoming branch as some as tecahed because they are basic courses.The exam difficulty standards are high as the average IQ is high causing it very hard to compete.

- I liked the single room facility in my college so that I get my privacy and without friends in room and I can study alone at. night
- I liked the distance between the hostel and learning hall so that I can use cycle for going far that much and I can walk also so that I can do exercise
- I liked the auditorium and spacious of that and its far better than all other iits

i picked this course due to i didnt get any admission in any other iits so i chose this one and civil is somewhat good compared to other branches i got in other colleges.i took civil course and started preparing for cse.
i didnt see till now because i am in firstb year but my seniors told and my deaan told few days agoi that from 2nd year onwards internships startys and we have societies also like tech and cult.
more infrastructure is need to develop because thius is 2nd gen iit .
mid sem , end sem every semester which for each you can start preparing from 15 days before exam .we have all types of labs first year so that every engineering student know basics of every branch

- Campus is very clean and green. There are hills which create a pleasant climate.
- We could often go for trecking and beach is also not too far say 30 km.
- City is also close so that we don't need to spend much on autos.Teachers are friendly and didn't even expect that kind of behaviour from those experienced faculty. Curriculum is also very decent for all branches and cources.
Dislikes

- Gutka is also a problem. Mess workers other people in campus use gutka. Few professors are rude towards students with their own rules.
- Distance from hostels to schools is more. We can take buses but they are often crowded. Girls to boys ratio is 1:5.
Placement Experience:
Generally placements here start from the end of third year. That will go on till the fourth year.Amazon, google often visit for placements. Other companies like wipro, Federal also visit. Highest package of 2024 was 52 LPA. Overall highest package was about 60 LPA. In CSE around 96%studentes got placed and overall 89% students applied for placements have placed.

- Boys to girls ratio is around 4:1 and college atmosphere is overall good
- U get many opportunities to improve your skills and basic amenities are provided
- Faculty is good and curriculum is not that hectic
Dislikes
- Many areas are still under construction they should speed up for sure
- Curriculum has some subjects which are soo boring
- May be the gender ratio should be improved

College placements are going pretty well, many of my seniors got placed into different companies, from 3rd year campus provides you internship and placement opportunities but u can also try for other remote placements
Almost 95% of students of computer science branch gets placed every year

- Various sports equipment and gym is available for work outs
- Hostel quality is very good and food is not that bad also

- Far away from the main city so it's hard to go out everyday
- Mess food quality is not that great and transportation is not good

Campus placement is quite good, more than 80 percent students get placed every year. Many reputed companies like Google Microsoft comes to the campus for placement. Even PSUs come to recruit from the campus

- The huge, beautiful and green campus is quite attracting and engaging, the facilities are made easily available to students, with being economical.
- I do admire the faculty here, most of them are genuine, supportive and caring. They are involved deeply in their research domains and are doing great in their areas.
Dislikes
- At times the huge campus might make it difficult commute. The grading system and first year courses need improvement, of all the syllabus must be updated from time to time. And more competent must be involved while grading.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for placements from 6th Semester onwards. We get internships oppurtunities in 2nd Year.
The companies that visit are De Shaw, Mahindra and Mahindra, ISRO,BPCL, Amazon, IBM, TCS. There are a fair amount of offers made.
The highest package in last placement season is 64 Lakhs and Average Package is aroun 17.8 Lakhs.
Placement Rate is 85%.
I would prefer to get into research or Higher Studies if I am well-versed with the subject, else I might settle for a 9 to 5 job.

- Strict attendance policy which is obviously frustrating

Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is very good. All are pointed towards the very core concepts especycore subjects. Tutorials are also held for problem solvinga nd you can always visit the faculty at office hours for doubt clarification.

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
