Even in top engineering colleges, it is seen that the male to female gender ratio is 140:10 which is fairly low as compared to other branches.

The choice of a branch to pursue should entirely depend on the individual. If a female candidate is interested to pursue Mechanical Engineering, she should be able to make that decision without apprehension. We are in the 21st century and it is high time we free ourselves of stereotypes which cause hindrance in maintaining gender equality through society.

Mechanical Engineering doesn’t always need the aspirant to work on the field as it opens up opportunities for other fields too like Machine Design and CAD, Robotics and Mechatronics, Structural Analysis, etc. However, an individual, be it any gender, should be able to choose their career freely even if they are interested in pursuing a career in fieldwork after studying Mechanical Engineering.

First time experience in an IIT

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution fees is 1 lakh per semester i.e 2 lakhs per year,as there are two semesters in an year.The hostel fees of about 20 thousand rupees including about mess and stay .The price for each day is about 150 rupees for food which is cut from the mess fees paid at the starting of the semester . This tution fees is not applicable for other category people like ews and sc/st .

Lab complex, where usually classes will be happened earlier.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fee is one lakh for one semester and there is extra fee also for every semester, that extra fee will be high for odd semesters when compared to even semesters. Entire cost of my education is above 10 lakh. There is a full fee scholarship for economically weaker students and tution fee is free for SC and ST students.

The fee of the course is 115000 and the hostel fee is 18000. The fee for economical weaker section students is reduced to 15000. And also scholarships are provided to girls students which is known to be mcm scholarship.

My admission fee for each semester is approximately 105000/- and the Hostel fee is 18000/- hence for each semster I pay a total amount of 123000/-.I donot have any scholarships but collage have some of the scholarships avaliable. I am currently not doing any job in campus or out of the campus.There are no campus employment oppotunities.I take loan from bank and pay my fees right now I need to clear the loan after finishing my btech degree.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee would be roughly 1.1 lakhs (institutional) + 14 thousand (hostel+mess) per semester. Many students have the opportunity to get their institutional fee as a refund if they have an annual income of fewer than 4.5/5 lakhs. There are few scholarships available. Internships are available to the prefinal year students ranging from 10k to 1.5 lakhs per month, but not everyone will get that opportunity.
