In first year everyone study common subjects like maths chemistry etc. In my opinion if a person choose electrical engineering then why he should study subjects related to other field i don't think this system will get change

The course curriculum is comprehensive and tries to cover all the disciplines causing the relevancy to fall. All first year students are required to do compulsory courses on Electrical technology, Introduction to Manufacturing processes and Chemistry which are not relevant to all the students causing lack of interest

i would rate this course a 7 as it is well balanced which need a littlel bit if changes as far as of now it is good, the frequency is like there are 4 exams i.e. 2-mid sems and 2-end sems for 2 sems combined in a academic year.

Actually the cirriculum good but not up to the mark the academic years are great the subject division is great the main problem is only specified amount of credits are allowed to be taken by the students

The core curriculum includes everything that is required for industrial area. Laboratories gives a brief idea of field work and give experience, there are 3 to 4 Laboratories scheduled every week, the core curriculum is quite interesting and professors make it even more interesting while teaching. There are more subjects in curriculum apart from core for overall development, like business, psychology, biological science, trading, economics and critical thinking. And anyone can opt these courses, there is no cgpa Criteria for getting registered in these subjects.

Frequency and timings of exams are well managed. Students gets proper time to prepare...along with it quiz tests internals, mid sems are also there to enhance the course effectiveness. I work in manufacturing department so here I like the projects most. They are based kn real life application mostly and interesting.

I think you should go for ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar than IIITH ECE.
As a second year B.Tech Mechanical Student at IIT Bhubaneswar, I can provide some insight on the benefits of joining my college for this particular course:

Someone with a keen interest in aerospace, aerodynamics, aircrafts and rocket science should opt for Aerospace engineering. IIT Madras is one of the best options for not just Aerospace Engineering, but for most other branches.
But without any keen interest in this area, it is best to join the CS program of IIT Bhubaneswar. In the present Indian market, the IT sector is the most in-demand. In that sense, CS is the best option for good placements.
Thus, I would suggest you opt for CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar, unless you have a deep-rooted interest in Aerospace Engineering.
Both ECE at IIT Guwahati and CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar are great options for you. However, the choice majorly depends on your personal choice and your career perspectives. I don’t have much idea about IIT Guwahati but I can guide you about CSE in IIT Bhubaneswar.
Electrical engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar is a great choice, and I can vouch for that, as I have studied there. I don’t have much idea about CSE at IIT Dharwad.
IIT Bhubaneswar Mechanical Department is one of the institution's well-recognized departments. Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar is better than IIT Gandhinagar. I can guide you through IIT Bhubaneswar as I am a student.

Opting for Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar is a better choice than moving for metallurgy at IIT Kharagpur as:
I am a third year B.Tech ECE student at IIT Bhubaneswar. ECE is one of the newer branches at IIT Bhubaneswar. Its first batch graduated in 2020.
The number of software companies that come for recruitment of ECE students is comparatively more than core companies. Marwell Electronics and Qualcomm are the core companies that recruit ECE students from IIT Bhubaneswar. Amazon, Microsoft, HSBC, Mathworks, Oyo, and Razorpay offer software related jobs to ECE students.
Here are the 2023 placement figures for B.Tech ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar and B.Tech Chemical at IIT Madras:
Branch | IIT Bhubaneswar ECE | IIT Madras Chemical |
---|---|---|
Percentage Placed | 90.91% | - |
Highest CTC | INR 44.62 LPA | INR 66.00 LPA |
Lowest CTC | INR 9.65 LPA | INR 6.00 LPA |
Average CTC | INR 22.85 LPA | - |
Median CTC | INR 18 LPA | INR 17.00 LPA |
I would recommend B.Tech ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar over Chemical Engineering at IIT Madras because the former offers better placements in terms of median and lowest packages.
