IIT Bhubaneswar Scholarship 2024: List, Amount, Eligibility, Apply online
IIT Bhubaneswar offers scholarships to its 1st-year students of any 4 years B.Tech program on the basis of their merits and parental annual income. The institute also considers the past academic records of a student and entrance scores (if applicable). However, the Merit Cum Means Scholarship is awarded to only 25% of the students, while the Free Studentship is awarded to only 10% of students. The details regarding the Merit Cum Means Scholarship/ Free Studentship are as follows.
Merit Criterion:
For the 1st year students admitted at IIT Bhubaneswar, the scholarship is decided on the basis of scores of JEE Entrance exam and the last qualifying examination. However, the weightage for the JEE score and the last qualifying exam is 50-50%.
Means Criteria:
The annual parental income of the student from all sources should not exceed INR 4.5 lakhs.
Scholarship Awards:
The selected scholars will be exempted from the payment of the full tuition fee as a Scholarship award.
How to Apply?
- Visit the official ERP site of IIT Bhubaneswar and login into the ERP account by using the student credentials.
- Start filling the online application form for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship.
- Now, download the form and attach all the self-attested copies of the required documents along with the application form.
- Submit the hard copy of the fully filled application form at the academic department of IIT Bhubaneswar.

- The college is in a serene location with a lot of greenery and mountains. Weather is quite nice all year round, except for one month in april when it gets really hot and humid.
- Campus life is great but the campus is quite far from the main city so do not expect a city night life.
Dislikes
- Not many good food options available in the campus or nearby. Have to survive on packaged food.

- Campus is good and it's green everywhere
- We get single rooms for all 4 years so no problem of sharing room

- Quality of mess food can be improved especially roti
- More food stalls can be opened in campus

My average semester fees is 140000 and mess fees is 18k per semester and whose family income is below 1 lakh they get full fee remission of tution fees and whose family income is between 1 to 5 lakhs they get 2/3 fee remission of tution fees

- Beautiful and lush green campus spanning a vast 936 acres
- Good teaching faculty who have the dedication , committment and desire to impart the difficult concepts of engineering
Dislikes
- The campus is too big meaning we have to travel 6-7 kilometre daily on cycle from the hostel to the academic lecture halls
- The societies here are have an entrance test known as induction which stops freshers from going into all societies and only some are able to crack

The annual fee structure is divided into several categories like tuition fees, lab fees , miscellaneous and other related things. The total annual fee structure is 2.8L . The annual fee is divided into 2 semesters which consists of mid-term examination and end term examination

- The fascinating thing is that it is an IIT.so the collage. Equipped with all sports facilities like badminton,table tennis,basket ball,squash,football, cricket, kabbadi with proper courts and equipment.
- Very large campus with lots of things to explore and adequate food options to pay and eat. And from next year dominos is also comming to campus.
Dislikes
- Classes are bit far from the hostel and there are sloppy roads which makes sometimes difficult to drive cycle and most importantly the campus does not allow btech students to have motored vehicle.
- Mess food is again a big challange because roti are not buttered but there options within mess to pay and eat(which is good in taste).
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
There are two semister in yaer So for first semister course fee = ?100000 Hostel = ?9500 Mess= ?18000 + (18000 advance also in first semister only) Other fee = ?11000 Similarly for second year also And the for all years the fee will be between 2.8 to 2.9 lacs depending upon course. The expendeture for four year will be around 11.2lacs For fee remission there are few points as follows . 1) The above fees are subject to revision from time to time. 2) In addition to the above fee, Students have to pay Rs. 12,000/? towards caution money (refundable) at the time of admission only. 3) 100% Tuition fee waiver for SC, ST & PwD category students 4) Full remission of the Fee is provided to most economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum) 5) Remission of 2/3rd of the fee is provided to other economically backward students (whose family income is between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per annum).

- the ambience the nature which we are surrounded in is very refreshing and the hostel rooms here are very clean and organised and the extra curricular activities here are very good anf fun to do
- this campus faculty are top notch faculty most of them being different iits alumnis they have a very vast knowledge in their domain by which they educate the students in every way possibe .

Starting from 4-year Btech the 5 year dual degree the joint Msc-Phdthe mtech program and the phd-MS-r program .For btech and dual degree in their 3rd ,5th,7th semesters the totoal fees for genereal,EWS,OBC categoris are Rs.121390 with a reduced fee of 21390 for SC/ST/Pwd for thosew in the 9th seem the fee is 27390 fro general category and 22390 for sc/st/pwd coming to mtech for general it is 27390 and for sc it is 22390 an dsponsored students s 47390.and there is a scholarship also for obc people and ews people.

- The infrastructure and faculty are good with high tech lab focused on research practices.
- It's societies and fests are really good and has good sports infrastructure

- There are very less places to eat and message food isn't good
- The climate is too hot and humid making it hard to commute

The tuition fee is around 1.15 lakhs but institute of first various financial supports. For economical weaker section the institute provides two third to full waiver on tuition fees which really support the students

- Here extracurricular activities like music clubs, dancing clubs, gym khana and transport facilities provided free to cities

- During summer it is hard to be in hostel in top floor
- Large area and vehicles are not allowed to masters degrees and bachelor degrees so cycling is only option after bus
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Fee structure of mtech you can get in the iit website they are minimum here compared to other nits and iits. Placements are good here 100 percentage placement this year and previous year. 12400 stipend is each month compulsory and other project assistance is provided here, Design innovation center is available. If anyone wants to project he or she can get help through DIC. Course fee will well managed in stipend. No need no ask more money from home.
