Fees and Financial Aid:

Talking about the fee, it is about 1.5 lakh per semester. Also most of the scholarships are onky for sc, st caste students which weive off their tuition fee completely. They only had to pay for hostel and mess fee. My friend from cs branch has the scholarship and has to pay only 12000 or something fee.

My first year experience at IIT Bhubaneshwar

The B.tech fee structure at iit Bhubaneswar includes tuition fees registration, caution deposit, development, lab, hostel, and other charges. For general category students the first year fee totals 1,65,000 including 1,00,000 tuition 10,000 caution deposit 15,000 development 10,000 lab 20,000 hostel and 5000 miscellaneous charges subsequent years cost 1,55,000 annually with the total course fee amounting to 6,30,000.SC/ST students receive tuition fee waivers paying only other charges. EWS and OBC students pay the same fees as general students, scholarships like the merit-cum-mean scheme cover up to 50% tuition for students with family incomes below 4.5 lakh And government scholarships are available for reserve categories. Top-performing students can earn institute merit awards with stipends of 2000 to 5000 monthly. fees have remained stable recently with minor adjustments for inflation.

Lack of centralised timetable which inhibits the students from choosing courses of their interests

The course fees for btech per semester is approximately Rs.115000(tution fees) +Rs180000(mess fees). And we have in total of 8 semesters. So the total course fees come to around Rs1100000.No bank ever denies an educational loan to a student from IIT and hence one can make use of it which comes at the rate of interest of 8to9%per annum. You can pay it after graduation or after getting a job. Moreover, if your family's annual income is less than Rs500000, then the institute offers fee remission of 2/3rd(if annual income less than Rs50000) or full fee remission( if the family's annual income is less than Rs 100000. )

Good teachers and have good level of examination

Complete course fees including hostel we have 1,25,000 for one semester. Sc and st have full fee remission . People below 5,00,00rs as annual income have 2/3rd fre remission. People here come for summer internship. 5th year and mtech student join as TA(teacher assistant) and get stipend

Some Mechanical engineering students feel that Number of Labs were less

For each semister,we have to pay tuition fee 1,17,000 and also mess fee 18000.After my joining,there is hike in mess fee of 2000 rupees.We have to pay a total fees of 1,37,000 .If we apply income certificate having income less than 100000 have to pay 17000 tuition fees and mess fees remains the same. There are scholarships for women. Still,I didn't tried for any internships, we can apply for online non core internships by applying our resume with our skills. We can also work under certain faculty for a project as an internship depending upon our interest

There will be 8 semesters. For the first semester it would be : semester fee of : 1,10,000 which inlcude hostel fee and for mess: 15,000 advance fee per semester 125 RS per day. After two semesters there was an increase in semster fee to 1.15 lakhs and no increse in mess advacne. From 3 yr onwards it was constant semester fee but there is a increase in mess fee to 135 RS per day. So in total of 4 yrs it might charge around 2.5+2.6+2.65+2.65 = 10.5 lakhs for 4 yrs. Coming to sholarships, students whose parental income is above 5 lakhs will not get any scholarship. And students having reservation with ews, sc, st having less tution fee (include hostel fee) of 15,000 per semester and with same mess fee. And for the other students their is a MCM scholarship which provides tution fee completely. And other scholarships include individuals state scholarships. Campus employment include doing an particular project or helping in thesis or helping in writing book with our professors.
