Since BITS Hyderabad is the newest among all other campuses and it certainly is a little behind in terms of faculty, infrastructure, etc. But when compared on a national level it is on par with any other institute. It provides the students with a prime location to look for internships and also provides an edge to them if they are opting for off-campus placements. Although the institute provides students with decent opportunities for on-campus placements also. Around 200 companies visit the campus each year and around 94% of the student secured a job through campus placements with an average package of around 5-6 lakhs per annum and the highest package offered was as high as 14 lakhs per annum. NIT Surathkal is among the top NITs of this country. The placements of students of this branch are also good although NIT Trichy and Warangal have better placement records. The average placement package offered at this NIT is around 14.15 LPA and 100% placement was observed for B.Tech batches in last year’s placement drive. ECE is one of the new branches that started at IIT Bhubaneswar starting from 2016. Hence the first batch of students will graduate in 2020. In 2019, the average CTC offered in this IIT was 11.44 LPA. Many core companies, software companies, PSU’s, etc. hire electrical engineers from IIT Bhubaneswar hence one can assume the same trend to be followed for electronics and communication engineering also but the result is yet to be seen.

Not many courses in our campus,only few choices are there to study.

The tution fees per semester is 1,15,000 , and in our college there is no increase in tution fee. The total fee is 1,33,000 per semester which includes 18,000 for mess fee and 15,000 for Gymkhana and 1,00,000 for academic purpose.There will be mcm scholarship for the elligible students and some financial aid for the students.The fee remission policy is available for the students and it will be depends on the parents income and this fee involves only the academic fee and for the students who has reservations will have even less fee to pay.The fee remission will be different for different students and it will completely reimbursed for the student whose parental income is less than 1 lakh and the amount reimbursed will be decreased as the parental income increases. I joined in this campus to complete my btech.Stipends will be available for the teacher assistants (students of dual degree,mtech,PhD ).These days the opportunities of getting campus placement is getting less.

Life at IIT BHUBANESWAR

We have very high contact hours, the curriculum is very hectic.

The fee structure is 115000 for each semester as tuition fee. And 18000 for each sem as mess fee. And there is financial assistance for those who can not pay. For those who seek financial assistance they have to pay the fee before starting of the semester and later on they get a refund of the amount that they had paid. I took responsibilities as sports Secreatry for our hostel, member of the tech fest and member of counselling services team.

there is no tution fee for St and sc students except these very one have to pay 1 lakh.the complete cost of education and other expenses around 10 lakhs. there is scholarship opportunities for St and sc students they get around 70 thousand per year.in our campas they stipends ,we get good jobs every thing is good .

Me being from a general category, my fee for a semester will be around 1.5l including hostel and mess fee. Tuition fee hasn't been increased since I joined and the mess fee is increasing every year by an amount of 1-2k per semester. Hostel fee is of around 8.5k now which will be included in the tuition fee. Tuition fee is around 1.35l for one semester and 1.3l for another. For the students who are financially weak, they do offer fee remission when ews certificate is produced. Fee remission around 1l is given in every semester at almost end of the semester .For students of sc or st category, their tuition fee will be of 35k. Hostel fee and mess fee remains the same for everyone. Due to recession and other things, the intake is currently not that high. For those who work as a teaching assistant around 18k will be given every month.

The fee structure i feel is bit high compared to NITs but still much more affordable as it is run by government. Financial assistance is given to SCs/STs and OBCs and also to children who need financial assistance in case of any emergency

My Delightful College.

In this college the course fees is basically 112500 rupees per semester and for a year it is basically 225000 .There are some scholarship also available like MCM which provide helps some students which belongs to a middle class family.
