Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

IIT BHUBANESWAR GOOD CAMPUS WITH AVERAGE PLACEMENT

Infrastructure of college is great well maintained
Thear are so many club are their whear you can join
Good placement record and intership opportunity

Dislikes

Classes are to far from hostel u will have to go through cycle
Gender ratio between boys and girls are very bad
People from different states come most of them are from south so little bit language barrier

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement after 7th semester but they can apply for internship or from even 4th semester and regarding the companies there are so many's companies there they visit and offer a good amount of money the largest placements were around 64 lpa which was offered by Oracle and for the least offer was about 6 LPA

The Amazing Life Of IITs

The thing i liked the most about this is the vast green campus
All the faculties are truly genius,holding prestigious doctorate and post doctorate degrees from reputed universities across the globe
Best quality teaching and academic facilities

Dislikes

Infrastructural development is still going on and hence sometimes it creates problems for the campus residents
Lack of centralised timetable which inhibits the students from choosing courses of their interests

Placement Experience:

The highest salary offered till date is indeed very good while the mean offered varies between different branches. Around 90 percent of the students get placed. Many good core and non-core companies come for placement. The highest ctc offered is Rs 6400000.

I liked the way of teaching done by faculties
The sports facility is good enough to maintain our physical health

Placement Experience:

The College brings several companies like Google,Microsoft, Goldman sachs etc for the sake of students to apply for the jobs in their last year of graduation.In 2024,the highest package in this college is about 60 lakhs and average of 27 lakhs.

IIT BBS & it's life

Likes

The college infrastructure is very good. It provides an ample amount of research opportunities. It also provides an extensive curriculum for the students
The placement opportunities are also good in this college.
The hostel life is also good and the campus is very spacious

Dislikes

The campus is very far away from city creating lots of problems in travel.
The campus doesn't have enough sports opportunities for students.
The campus being made by cutting hills provide a lot of challenges while using bicycles.

Placement Experience:

The institute being a premier ones boasts a good amount of placement. Almost every year it provides more than 85% placement for all the branches and 100% of selective branches too. The companies where the students are placed are also reputed ones and get well paid jobs

It is a lavish campus with great facilites
It has many sports facilitties and still improvement is being done

Dislikes

It is extremely cold and hot here in IIT bhubaneshwar
The course structure for the 1st years is not properly defined

Placement Experience:

As of now the placements of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneshwar is decent. It is very good if compared to the tier 2 colleges and low when compared to tier 1 colleges. The avg package is 10lpa and highest is 64lpa as of 2023

Huge campus it is around 936 acres in area

Dislikes

bad weather, It is hot here (except winters)

Course Curriculum Overview:

As metallurgy is one of the oldest branch it has its own importance. our institution labs are well equipped(nearly, I wont say they are the best) they help in gaining practical knowledge. we have two exams in one sem, one is mid sem and next is end sem.Difficulty level is quite high

Review of IIT Bhubneshwar as a First Year

Likes

The weather here and the constant sea breeze we get everyday
The sceneries we get here everyday with the mountains and the forests
The fact that we have single rooms is good

Dislikes

The humidity of the whole place and the stickiness.
The slow working management in every canteen in the campus
The fact that you have to study a lot harder here than first generation IITs.

Placement Experience:

The Placements for Computer science here are really good and for other circuital branches it's good too. For the non-circuital branches, the average package goes to nearly 16 LPA, which is not bad for a second generation IIT.

An Epic Journey

Likes

Playing sports with friends, like recently we'e to inter-iit which is used to held every year and it was really amazing.
Spending time with friends especially during the night time.
Focusing on my own growth, I try to spend some time for my personal growth also like growth in communication skill, etc

Dislikes

Probably I don't have much things to dislike here but still I find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
In our mess, there is not any separate column for vegetarians.
Instead of conventional things, professors should start teaching us new modern technologies.

IITs offer a very good package actually. Being a second generation IIT, our college is growing day by day and our professors are working very hard to improve the placement activities. Although it is not that much bad. Average package in our college is more than 10 lakhs.

Honest IIT review

Likes

We were provided with with single room occupations in our first years .
The lecture halls are really nice and are centralised air conditioned
A lot of greenery and beautiful nature whole across the campus

Dislikes

Weather in this city is unpredictable and most of the times very hot
Message food is not up to mark and sometimes we find insects in it.
Boys hostel is build too far from lecture halls and shopping complex so we have to do a lot of cycling

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am currently in my first year soon to become a senior. In first year , course for all branches is same . I chose this course because there were only few options for me to get admission in an IIT. Exams are conducted 2 times per semester within gap of approx 2 months .It's difficulty level depends on which faculty member is setting up the question paper.

Huge campus, 936 acre lush green campus.
Have many sports facilities and proper coaches for each sport
Good teachers and have good level of examination

Dislikes

Hostels are too far away from lecture Hall complex
Summer are extreme , but there is also sometimes rain in summer weather is unpredictable

Btech student in their 8th semester are eligible for campus placement. Tcs, oracle and many company visit and average salary is 15L per annum . Highest package is of 64L . 80-90% students placed depends upon branch. I will take job after my degree

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
