Experience in IIT Bhubaneswar

I choose computer science because I wanted to learn more about coding stuff and my course is going pretty well. They have weekly assignments to make you prepared for real life coding applications . We have 2 major examinations mid and end sem exams . They are both moderate in level but again it depends on the faculty

I didn't do any internships untill now but my seniors are doing some so Around 60,000 per month is the average Companies like deshaw, google, samsung etc Their role is an software engineer intern , they start their internship in summer

College placements are going pretty well, many of my seniors got placed into different companies, from 3rd year campus provides you internship and placement opportunities but u can also try for other remote placements Almost 95% of students of computer science branch gets placed every year

1,23,000 for general category students For students whose annual family income is less than 500000 they pay 66000 , less than 100000 they pay only 23000 . For category students sc/st they pay 23000 per semester and OBC, other category they pay 66,000

We have a annual tech fest usually conducted in March and we have our IIT BBS mun which also takes place in March . We have body called student gymkhana which overlooks all the club activities in IIT Bhubaneswar. We have different clubs for arts, music,dance,drama, photography, literature,and all kinds of sports including cricket, football, badminton

Single rooms are provided for everyone in IIT Bhubaneswar and the food is not bad Adjusting to the menu might take some time Meal quality is average. Registration of hostel is done along with your seat registration U may not find decent pgs near the college

I applied for all top IIT s for computer science but my score wasn't enough to get into those IITs I got IIT Bhubaneswar computer science seat so I joined the college. Our college is pretty good , but compared to 1st generation IITs we lack in different aspects

Faculty to students ratio is around 1:15 , Faculties are good they have a lot of experience and most of them are research scholars. Exams are moderate and mostly depends on faculty u get . Course curriculum is pretty relevant but u might have some unnecessary courses too

Students normally unwind their day with club activities or something. We have SAC place where gym and indoor badminton courts are located where most of the club activities takes place . Library is open upto 2am . Our campus has no restrictions for roaming around. Anytime u can outside the campus same with the hostels
