Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of my course has been designed very good. Basically, the huge scope of field research has motivated me to take this course. But the lack of high-paying on-campus placements is a problem. The difficulty of my course is the same as the other engineering courses.

Internships Opportunities

5

Various reputed companies like Google, Samsung, NVIDIA, and Oracle offer paid internships. Also, multiple government agencies provide internships. All On-campus internships are paid, and stipends vary from 15k to 1.5 lakh.

Placement Experience

5

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fees for every semester are around 1.12 lakh, with Tuition Fees 1 lakh, and others are rest of the amount changes semester to semester. Tuition Fees are 100% waived off for SC and ST students and for economically weaker students (family income less than 5 lakh per annum). Some students are also awarded a scholarship with 50% tuition fee remission and 1/3rd tuition fee remission based on the criteria. Some banks and reputable companies also provide scholarships for students with economically weaker backgrounds.

Campus Life

5

IIT Bhubaneswar has a very vibrant campus life. The campus is nestled at the foot of the Barunei Hill, offering a serene and pollution-free environment. The campus is built with modern facilities such as well-quipped hostels with 24/7 internet access, a modern academic building with air-conditioned classrooms, a central library, and a large auditorium. There are various societies under the Students' Gymkhana, like Robotics Club, Programming Society, Dance Society, Music Society and many more. There is a single cultural and technopreneurship fest, Pravaah at IIT Bhubaneswar, which happens at the month of January every year. There is also a sports fest named Ashvamedha.

Hostel Facilities

5

In every hostel (except 1st year's girls' hostel), there are single occupancy rooms. Mess Food is average. The hostel room quality is very good and is equipped with a LAN Internet connection. Hostel charges are also reasonable.

Admission

I have got Chemical Engineering in Jadavpur University, but I chose IIT Bhubaneswar. First and foremost reason is that the IIT brand and its global networks are unparalleled. I believe that the opportunities for higher studies and an international career with be much stronger with an IIT degree.

Faculty

5

Faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:15. Most of the faculty are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are always approachable. There are 2 major exams in a semester, and internal quizzes are also part of the evaluation.

Night Life

5

The nightlife of IIT Bhubaneswar is totally different. We hang out in various night canteens, which remain open till late at night. There are no such restrictions on hostel timings, and it is totally safe for a girl to roam around the campus at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
