Senior are helping and friendly and guide in academics
Girls ratio is very good and is about 1:5

Dislikes

The campus is temporary and we have to travel by transport to reach hostel
Boys not allowed out of hostel after 7 pm

Campus Life:

College campus is soon going to shift in there permanent campus and cognitia is technical fest held in generally is October last and shishir is cultural fest held in March last We can get books from library using I'd card Clasroom are high tech We can get full sports facilities in permanent campus Institute run every club but the students are the coordinator of the clubs

NIT Meghalaya's Things

Likes

There faculty how they teach student with providing proper practical and real life knowledge
Each course which teachers teaches also have lab of that course which help in getting the topics more widely and keenly

Dislikes

Shillong climate changes very drastically, most of the time we faced raining and too much cold at the time of winter
Shillong traffic is also another reason for disliking that place

Campus Life:

My experience in college is very awesome from faculty to students all were very supportive and interactive you can easily share your problems with anyone and they are always in front of you to help you in very circumstances

Professor was very good, kind and always help students if they facing some problems in their academic or if they feel stress they motivates us with there kind words. They suggest many books for reading that help us in our studies & getting Good mark.

Sometimes regular class was held then lab so sometimes we get a very busy schedule

Campus Life:

Campus life was good, making new friends in the collge is fun . There are many Club is there like Music club , dance club , Drawing club, sports club etc. Library is there with good amount of books. Cultural fest or techno fest was also organised in collge.

I like the placements and the companies that visit our college are good.

I dislike our food in hostel because it not that tasty

There are two fests one is cultural and one is technical their names are Shishir and Cognitia and they are held in April and November. The library has books only related to the academics. Sports and extracurricular activities are there but they have very less events. There are many clubs like coding, robotics, Design, literature etc. Many websites are created by them.

Likes

Placements of our colleges is good and percentage of placements are goid
Maximum number of our faculty are highly educated and they have maximum knowledge.

Dislikes

Our college's permenant campus is under construction
Mess food of our college is not so good.

Campus Life:

In our college there will be only two fests one will be cultural which is called Shishir which is conducted in April and other one is technical fest is conducted in November which is called COGNITIA. Books are available only for our study or academic purposes there will only less scope for books for other or outer Knowledge, Amenities in the classroom are very small only chairs, a projector, and lights are provided and social groups, clubs, and some websites for those clubs are run by students, some clubs are like Coding club, Dance and Drama club, Robotics club are there but these clubs are not that effective because they small reach.

Campus life is good and very nice you will enjoy

Dislikes

Food of college gets worse some time but it is ok
As we are in temprory campus we live in our hostel is far from college

Campus Life:

In our college, so many functions keeps happening that there are two fests one is a cultural fest (Shishir) and one tech fest (cognitia) there are so many books in the library you would love if you are a book worm

Campus Life:

There are 2 annual fests. Cognitia and Shishri. Cognitia is about the technical fest and Shishri is about the cultural fest. We can find each and every book in the library, we can refer to them for our subject.

Campus Life:

Shishir (Annual cultural fest), Cognitia (Annual Technical fest). We can find every book in the library. There are 2 clubs which are an indoor sports club and an outdoor sports club. We have groups on every social media, they are so many clubs in college.

Campus Life:

Since we are working on a temporary campus, right now we don?Ûªt have any on campus hostel facilities. The hostels are distributed in the city and bus facilities are provided from hostels to the campus. So if you are planning to join in NITM, I can only explain about how your first year hostel life gonna be like since we will be shifting to our permanent campus soon.The life in hostels of NIT Meghalaya is multi-faceted community life. It is like all the cultures of India coming together under one roof.In first year, you will be in Bamboo Huts Boys hostel, the freshman hostel. It is located in North eastern Hill University (1025 acres campus). Its not like other engineering college hostels where you have big buildings, first floor, second floor etc?Û_. Its just something different here. I will just need one word to describe our hostel. FREEDOM.
