In the 6th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements.
There are many companies who want the 7th-semester student to sit in their placement process.
The name of the companies are as follows:
Infosys 4 offers
L&T 5 offers
Google 2 offers
POWERGRID 2 offers
Etc
Approximately 71 % of students got placement in many companies.
I will do farming after getting my degree.

- I like the place of my college very much because there is not any presence of summer all 12 months cool weather
- The campus I love most because it is green so much and you can chill outside anytime
Placement Experience:
Yes placement's are there because it's a NIT
From 3rd semester you are eligibile to apply for internship and from 7 sem you are also eligible for campus placements
Many companies visit our campus for the placements some famous names of coma pansies are adobe amazon flipkart Mahindra infosys tata black rock etc and the no of offers made differ each year but the average of offers remains 150plus
Highest package of our college is 51 LPA Which is bagged by a cs girl this year from Amazon and the average package also differ by the branches but for mechanics and cs branch a the average package is as good as 10LPA
Percentage of students greeting placed is very good for the mechanical and cs branch like 95% placements are there and for others branches also 70% placements is there
So placements is not a big issue in this college ????
My plans are simple Mai have to maintains a good ointer to be eligible for campus placements and get a good job and settle in life

- College Infrastructure, Location, Weather, Low Pollution levels, Large Campus. Highly relevant and focused course curriculum for the personal and professional development and a high placement rate with over 70% on/off campus placement.
- Highly experienced and qualified Faculties with regular visits and lectures from international lecturers, Online and offline teachings with advanced technologies and highly fuctional labs. Central library with a wide variety of books and e-books.
- Highly functional clubs for the extra curricular abilities and promoting personal interests and hobbies for display at various levels including arts and culture and sports.
Dislikes
- Not easily accessible with trains and planes and have to travel with the help of buses and taxis.
- Not easy for people to understand local languages as the North Eastern languages are way different than the other central languages. However Hindi and English is widely used among locals.

Internships Opportunities:
There are various paid and unpaid internship opportunities offered by AICTE as well as various companies loke Microsoft etc., in Data Management, AIML, web design, department centred etc and with a good stipend after being qualified from the free courses and projects. All the projects are provided by the course mentors or by the companies.

- In my class girls to boys ratio is 0.2 .there are 10 girls out of total 40 students
- my institute is surrounded by green environment and is at very famous place tourism.i.e. Sohra Cherapungi
- faculties are very cool and helpful for every type of students.
Dislikes
- I am in CSE department but we are provided windows systems and ECE departement is provided MAC systems.
- Mess food is not very bad but needs improvement in the vegetable.
- sohra is the wettest place of heavy ranfall.
Internships Opportunities:
There are much internship opportunities for students of every year and every course.top REcruiters include microsoft , infosys , amazon,tata,flipkart etc. which provied us internships during our breaks in summer and winter and also during 3rd year and 4th year with proper training.

- Campus is very large and social interaction is good
- The interaction with faculties is very good

- The placement are not upto satisfaction level
- Senior are not helping to each other and very rude
- Curriculum and course design is not much efficient
Placement Experience:
From seventh semester students are eligible for the placement
The company like Amazon , Mahindra, TCS , grid power.
Highest pakage of 2024 is 52 lakh and average of 6.5 lakh
Out of 165 students 100 students got placed

- Senior are helping and friendly and guide in academics
- Girls ratio is very good and is about 1:5
- There nirf ranking is good and some faculty are top faculty of india
Dislikes
- The campus is temporary and we have to travel by transport to reach hostel
- Boys not allowed out of hostel after 7 pm
- They are providing branch change option which I don't like
Internships Opportunities:
There is no internship provided by our college and we self have to get internship by self getting some skills and apply for different projects in companies by showing your thinking skills and tech skills

- The campus is spread with lots of trees. It is a lush green campus and the weather is good throughout the year.
- The professors are very friendly and helpful. They help a lot with projects and internships
- Lots of cultural activities in which we can participate
Dislikes
- The campus is a bit small. We can cover the whole campus within 15 mins
- It's always raining in shillong so yeah it becomes uneasy to travel here and there
- The class rooms are a bit small and needs to be improved
Internships Opportunities:
We have a lots of internship opportunities inour college. The placement cell in our college continuously works with industries to bring moreand more internships for the students. Most of the companies are Tata, TCS, Jindal, L&T etc.

- There faculty how they teach student with providing proper practical and real life knowledge
- Each course which teachers teaches also have lab of that course which help in getting the topics more widely and keenly
- The interaction of senior with junior are very nice and helpful they always ready to help student in every situationships
Dislikes
- Shillong climate changes very drastically, most of the time we faced raining and too much cold at the time of winter
- Shillong traffic is also another reason for disliking that place
- In NIT, Meghalaya still we don't shifted in our permanent campus
Internships Opportunities:
Our college provide summer interships for freshers or for outsider students, in this internships they provide wide and kin knowledge related to btech branches like(cse, ee, ece, ce, me). In future this courses help for getting jobs

- Less strength such that there will be no much disturbance
- Weather around here sometimes it's extreme awesome
- Coming to studies thats our own interest and determination
Dislikes
- No sports facilities , here there is no availability of ground resources
- No permanent campus and campus is little conjusted
- This year placements were not good and has been affecting many students
Internships Opportunities:
Actually I went to an offline drive for internship because for our batch there are no much internship opportunities,
Our juniors are getting good opportunities for internship there might be a good chance for upcoming batches

NIRF has ranked NIT Meghalaya at 72nd position in Engineering. This is higher than College of Engineering Pune and International Institute of Technology Bangalore. India Today has also ranked NIT Meghalaya 26th position in the terms of Engineering.
NIT Meghalaya has secured 72nd position in the Engineering Category. This list has been prepared by NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework). Instead, OUTLOOK Magazine has recognised NIT Meghalaya at 16th position under Top 25 Government Engineering Colleges.
NIT is recognised as one of the prominent and prestigious institutes in India. However, in terms of rankings, it is not even in the top 10 NITs. The top NITs include NIT Trichy, NIT Rourkela, NIT Surathkal etc. According to the NIRF 2024 ranking list, NIT Meghalaya has secured 72th rank. NIT Megahalaya is ahead of NIT Goa which is at 90th rank and NIT Agartala which is at 91st rank.
