- M.Tech: To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have completed a BE/B.Tech in the relevant discipline with 60% marks (5% marks relaxation for reserved category candidates) from a recognized university.

Ans. All students whose family annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh are entitled to get fee waiver at any NITs and IITs. So is the case with NIT Meghalaya.This can be done by approaching the Associate dean of student’s welfare Dr S.Mukherjee or the Director and request them to consider your request of fee waiver. Yes, there is negative marking in NIMCET. If a question is done wrongly, then there will be a deduction of 25% of marks alloted to the question. Also, if the candidate has checked more than one answer, then he or she will get negative marking.
