- College Infrastructure, Location, Weather, Low Pollution levels, Large Campus. Highly relevant and focused course curriculum for the personal and professional development and a high placement rate with over 70% on/off campus placement.
- Highly experienced and qualified Faculties with regular visits and lectures from international lecturers, Online and offline teachings with advanced technologies and highly fuctional labs. Central library with a wide variety of books and e-books.
- Highly functional clubs for the extra curricular abilities and promoting personal interests and hobbies for display at various levels including arts and culture and sports.
Dislikes
- Not easily accessible with trains and planes and have to travel with the help of buses and taxis.
- Not easy for people to understand local languages as the North Eastern languages are way different than the other central languages. However Hindi and English is widely used among locals.

- In my class girls to boys ratio is 0.2 .there are 10 girls out of total 40 students
- my institute is surrounded by green environment and is at very famous place tourism.i.e. Sohra Cherapungi
- faculties are very cool and helpful for every type of students.
Dislikes
- I am in CSE department but we are provided windows systems and ECE departement is provided MAC systems.
- Mess food is not very bad but needs improvement in the vegetable.
- sohra is the wettest place of heavy ranfall.

- The campus is spread with lots of trees. It is a lush green campus and the weather is good throughout the year.
- The professors are very friendly and helpful. They help a lot with projects and internships

- The campus is a bit small. We can cover the whole campus within 15 mins
- It's always raining in shillong so yeah it becomes uneasy to travel here and there
- The class rooms are a bit small and needs to be improved

- Each course which teachers teaches also have lab of that course which help in getting the topics more widely and keenly
- The interaction of senior with junior are very nice and helpful they always ready to help student in every situationships

- Shillong climate changes very drastically, most of the time we faced raining and too much cold at the time of winter
- Shillong traffic is also another reason for disliking that place
- In NIT, Meghalaya still we don't shifted in our permanent campus

If you are asking about NIT Meghalaya B.Tech. courses, then you can easily get admission with 5000 rank. The minimum required rank for B.Tech. is 138087. But for admission to M.Tech. and M.Sc. 5000th rank is not acceptable. The minimum required rank for these courses is 1746.
NIT Meghalaya MTech cutoff is decided based on GATE scores. Last year, the last round cut off for MTech program for candidates from the general category ranged from 356 to 424. For M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering program, the last round cut off was 356 whereas 357 was for M.Tech. in Fluids and Thermal Engineering program. The closing rank for M.Tech. in Power and Energy Systems, Structural Engineering and VLSI and Embedded Systems was 424, 359 and 380 respectively.
The minimum JEE Score rank (depending on the cutoff scores of 2023) for B.Tech. is 138087. The cutoff rank required for different specialisation varies. You can check them below:
