NIT Meghalaya M.Sc Physics: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The temporary campus of this National Institute of Technology (NIT) has a limited number of faculty, with around 5-6 faculty members in each basic science department like M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, which is deemed insufficient. The B.Tech program fee is approximately 1 lakh INR per semester, while the Masters in Basic Science costs 40,000 INR per semester, covering all additional expenses such as hostel, transportation, and exam fees.

While these fees are relatively high, they are consistent with other NITs. The institute's placement cell is effective, helping enhance its ranking. Students are encouraged to engage in internships during vacations, and those who are project students but not NET/GATE qualified earn a 20,000 INR monthly stipend. The college provides scholarships and fee relaxations for economically disadvantaged and academically strong students. ST/SC students receive full tuition fee exemptions, while the top five students in each batch are awarded scholarships, helping to support their education financially.
