Hostel Facilities:

The Institute is residential and hence the rented room and PGs is not accepted unless for very serious reason with proper permission from the Head of the Institute. The hostel rooms are well equipped with all of the needed facilities from 24/7 electricity, water, Wifi and other facilities. The registration process is quite simple as it simply requires to fill up the hostel form while admission for the semester and as compared to the fees taken there is nothing worth complaining for except the well known fact that the hostel food is not as good as you would get at home or restaurant but not totally bad. It's worth mentioning that the meal quality is accepted and is good as compared to many other hostels or PGs.

NIT Meghalaya's Things

Hostels are very well maintained and cleaned, daily cleaners come for cleaning, rooms are well large space for easily accommodate 2 person, bathrooms and toilets are attached in balcony, geysers are provided

Hostel rooms are good at max 4 or 2 get a single room as per their sizes.Meal quality is good and the taste is not that good. For every semester we have to pay the fee it is the only process for the registration

better nit in northeast area

There will be 2 students in each room with one bathroom. they will provide 2 beds and 2 tables for studying. the quality of the food is average, we can change the menu in the hostel. we will get a notification from our college mail about the hostel registration process.

The hostels have twin sharing room and a single mess and also some indoor games facilities are also available. There are 1 hostels for all the girls and 5 separate hostels for boys only. There is no PG rentals available.

Yes, there are different building for each year as hostel which are on rent by college as our college is in temperory campus as of now in 2020. Hostel have sufficient capacity with each hostel having hostel president and mess secretary and maintainance secretary posts. Total mess fee is 16000 per semester with luch in college and dinner in hostel.

Rooms are quite large 2 seater or 3seater rooms. Its infrastructure's very good every room have a balcony we have wifi facilities no water and electricity problem. hostel food is very hygienic and it tastes good.

An institute of national importance

I am a hosteller. The hostel fees consist of 1500rs electricity and water charge 16000rs mess fees and 5000 rs transportation fees per semester. Hostel infrastructure is good and we are provided with Wifi in our hostels. Depending on the size of the room the number of tenants is decided. In each room, 1 to 4 students are given beds.

Nit meghalaya review

Yes, the hostel is not that great as we are not on our permanent campus which will be completed in 2022. Our hostels are scattered in different parts of Shillong city and the bus facility is provided for feasible transportation. Our mess is not up to the mark. Both single and single rooms are available.

About NIT MEGHALAYA

Yup I'm a hosteller. Hostel facilities here are good enough and better from many other NITs. Hostel Infrastructure is good. There are single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms and quadruple rooms. You might be lucky enough to get a single room like me. You will get great food if you are non-veg otherwise you will gonna miss your mother's hand food. We have WiFi networks in the hostel for 24 hrs of max speed of 2-5mbps. We have 24 hrs electricity and water. In bonus you will get the scenic beauty of nature from the balcony of your room.
