Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Location, it's being situation among hills
Some.professors which are good at teaching

Dislikes

Mess food for first year hostels is very bad
Some Hostel need some serious renovations
Being at remote location less accessibility for popular chains

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good in the college with avg. Package around 15 lacs. Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Highest package laste year was 88 lpa. My plans are either getting good placement or higher studies after getting degree.

It is not that much choose this.

Likes

I like it's greenry and where it is location.
I like it ragham fest which is biggest in south india.
I like it that we can connect with other cultural people also.

Dislikes

I did not like senior interaction because of their state bias nature.
It is realy expensive to survive here because kerala is too costly
Its hostle i did not like for first year where you stay with 4 roomates with only 3 cupboards in 1st year.

Placement Experience:

I do not know about placement and in all of these but as know that may be you will get placement in the end of 6th or 7th semester. 85 percent placement rate here and we have highest placement rate in mechanical.

Expectation vs reality

Likes

Campus is large ,greenery are there ,campus life is quite well.
Faculty are supportive and well qualified and used to help in every aspect of life
Placement is quite good and infrasructure is quite large

Dislikes

Coordination between student and faculty is difficult because of language
Low coding culture ,no competition in coding interviews
Hostel facilities are below the expectation

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement followings are some companies:microsoft,amazon,google,l&t,tata motors,goldman sachs etc. highest package is above 40 lpa every yr&avg is above 10 lpa placement percentage is approx. 89% i aspire after getting degree to enter the industry .

Likes

Education, what they are providing to us.
Maintaining the campus and hostel room clean.
Encourage in sports club tournament in Btech.

Dislikes

Food in mess , what they are providing to us.
Keeping classes in early morning hours .
Having strict exams in mid sem and end sem.

As this coase have high demand across the globe and I am passionate of my subject biotechnology . In our gender ratio is 50-50 all members of class is too sharp minded . An aou faculty are PhD holder and we'll qualified .xm is easy or moderate

I like his beautiful campus and natural beauty of this college
I like his sports curriculalam and opportunities in sports

I disliked of this college is 80 percent attendance policy
Here many exam are conducted in one semester

I like greenery in college. College is so beautiful.
I like the students nature towards others.
I like faculty and staff of our college they are so cooperative.

Dislikes

I dislike the food and non availability of good breakfast in nearby hotels.
I dislike the delay of fests and dominace of local students.

After 7th semester a student can eligible for placement. Many companies like Oracle, Microsoft ,Toyota and more.56lakh highest and 16 lakh average.90% students placed every year. I want to prepare for upsc.

Nit calicut review

Likes

Very good college fest are good and every festival is celebrated.
Sports facilities are good, faculties are good.

Dislikes

You won't find shops open after 1 am in the whole city.
Campus is at quite a distance from main city.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year you can sit for internship and ppo In 4th you can apply for placements. Google comes for ppo and internship. Most of the students get placed like almost 90 to 95 percent. My plan is to do job after getting the degree.

In nit calicut i like the study plan the most and here faculty member are so well qualified .
nitc library is so good and well maintained . it provieds every type of book and each type of help which required for students .

Dislikes

bulidings are not so well maintained and now nitc is under construction so we face some problems.
it is so far from my home so i face lots of problem on going home.

Placement Experience:

8th semester we are eligible for placement. google , facebook , orical ; and many top companies viit in our campus. in my brach highest package is 60 lakh . average package is 18 lakh . more than 95 percent student got placement . i want to get managemt degree from iim after b,tech degree.

Navigating the Academic Odyssey: An Insight into Life at NIT Calicut

The atmosphere in the campus is very peaceful and serene.
The area the campus is situated in is a buzzing economy.
The class schedule and the new restructuring of course curriculum.

Dislikes

The sudden increase in hostel and mess fees are such a hassle, and it has to be paid in advance as well.
Removal of Proshow and wheels from Tathva.
Closing of the OAT Food Court was an unfortunate moment.

NITC: A Honest Walk through

Likes

The infrastructure is cool, green and lively
The local natives are kind and helpful for all our needs.
The fests and activities are top notch and provide us a greater insight

Dislikes

The syllabus might seem a bit too congested at first but later get better.
The first year hostels are not that great in terms of amenities
The gates to library ate closed for some reason make commute harder

Placement Experience:

Placements are the key point in choosing nit. Ofcourse, by 2nd semester you can indulge in internships privately and for 3rd yr you'll have to do a compulsory internship which is a plus point in getting into the placement drive.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
