Likes

I like it's greenry and where it is location.
I like it ragham fest which is biggest in south india.
I like it that we can connect with other cultural people also.

Dislikes

I did not like senior interaction because of their state bias nature.
It is realy expensive to survive here because kerala is too costly
Its hostle i did not like for first year where you stay with 4 roomates with only 3 cupboards in 1st year.

I choose this option because i made mistake in choice filling. Here faculty are very good but may be you will not going to like some teachers. 1:5 student ratio. They are ph.d graduate and they make ppt and you will get pp also but you dont have to expect that they will give answer also. You will have exams in 1.5 month and it really tough.

Internships Opportunities

I did not go for intership yet but i am planning to get intership opportunities in abroad here you will find seprated department for international relation between between student and foriegn intership.

Placement Experience

I do not know about placement and in all of these but as know that may be you will get placement in the end of 6th or 7th semester. 85 percent placement rate here and we have highest placement rate in mechanical.

Fees and Financial Aid

For me fee structure is really tough to explain but i can say 128000 75000 something for course fee and 55000 33000 for hostel in 1st year. When you come here you will find many scholarships here but it will take lot of time.

Campus Life

There are so many clubs related to your intrests like singing dancing but be aware of seniors. Do not be to close them because they missguide you and probably rag you. Be aware of telugu seniors here.

Hostel Facilities

You will get lot of variety of food like north indian south indian and veg non veg but quality of food even worse. If you are veg then it will be more difficult to survive here and do not be affrade of registration process it is simple.

Hostel Fee: INR 88000 per year

Admission

To get admission in this collage you should have rank less than 26203 to get into mech branch. You have take all application forms from joosa and collage official website and you have to fill it and submit in aaryabhatta hall in ug section.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
