What Students Say
Likes
- I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
- We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
- Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials
Dislikes
- College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
- The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
- Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus
Course Curriculum Overview
Just like almost all Btech colleges in Kerala, It's affiliated under KTU. And most of the stuffs that are taught under syllabus are basically useless in modern day, they still teach u about CPUs that was designed in 1950????. And exams are bit tough, and almost all semister are 3-4 months (ideally it should be 6 months). Do note the fact that in this 3 months we also have sports day, arts fest etc, so most of the time it we won't get time to fully complete the syllabus.
Placement Experience
Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure can vary depending on ur reservations, cast , income, etc. general fees is rs 75000 annually, and if u have scholarships, I have seen some students have annual fees of 25000 . There are few waiver for students who come under lower income brackets; check this while you're applying ur admission
Campus Life
Campus Life is a complete shag. Don't expect a good campus Life from this college, I can't completely blame the college for this, since we have very short semesters, mostly we're all busy trying to meet the ends
Admission
Admissions are based on KEAM rank. If u have qualified for KEAM exams then u can choose this college as option in allotments. If u didn't attend KEAM, then JEE marks are also considered as criteria. NRI option is also available, but donations might be required
Faculty
In my current class, we have 26 students in total, and there are adequate amount of teachers in our department. And most of the teachers are supportive and interactive. It can feel a bit dull in the first year, but now since im a 3rd yr, I feel like most teachers are friendly towards us (mostly, there are exceptions tho) .
