Student view on course curriculum

The new curriculum is well designed with the help of best professors, alumini and industrial experts. As the collage is autonomous, they can edit the syllabus according to the industry demands.in teahing, some faculties should stop spoon feeding. There will be frequently exams,so academics should be focused regularly.

Companies like cognizant, accenture etc provide intershp oppertunities. some of them provide stipends.consultancy and strategy projects, project related to AI are usually done by students. The collage provides internships with great exposure.

The campus placements are satisfying. Companies like amazon, accenture, nissan, tcs etc visits the campus. The highest package offered was 33LPA and average will be 4.5 LPA. About 65% Of students will get core placements. After degree i am planning to do my masters.

The tution fee will be 9650 per year Admission fee-240 Special fee- 1740 Bus fee- 1300 Arts and sports fee -530 Caution fee-5000 For SC/ST all exept bus fee and caution fee is free and they will surely get govt hostel. Scholarships like egrants will be given accoding to annual income Hostel fee will be free for management seat students. Fee for SC/ST /OEC students is almost free

College fest and various activities

There are two fests in the campus in an year. They are takshak which is a tech fest and Sanskriti an arts fest. Both of them extent from 3-5 days. The library consists of each and every books needed by the students for academics and there are other books too. MACE has one Of the top sports facilities in the state. There are many student run clubs and social groups like IEDC, IEEE etc which will help to improve your skills and personality.

Student views on the faculty and exams

Most of the faculties are friendly and are available. Jobu anu miss was my favourite faculty, she was our faculty advisor. She tries to help every student in academics. There is no bad faculties in the collage. Every one of them is hardworking and passionate. In every sem, there is a sem exam and an internal exam conducted by collage itself, and that marks are combined to get the total marks.

Admission process of the college

I also applied for CET and GECT but i lost both due to high cutoff rank. my rank was 1408. I get admission through the entrance exam keam ,which was conducted in online mode, the cutoffs is becoming more tight in last years. Overall admission experience was exhausting.

Students have good freedom. Also there are many good tourist places near the campus where students can go in there free time and enjoy this helps the students to get a relief from daily study life

The campus is in a hilly place so its not that easy to walk from city to the college daily

My college is strict and give high preference to studies and discipline of the students.

There is no interval or a 5 min break between the class hours
Only one hour of break is during the noon for lunch

I only applied to this college because I will be able to travel from my home to college daily.The admission procedure in my college is that,cracking KEAM exam with appropriate good ranks.Overall admission experience starts from cracking KEAM exam,allotment in colleges with the ranks preffered for that college.

One of the best engineering colleges in Kerala

Likes

Chapters like ASME, SAE, IEEE and IEDC are very active and are participating in national level competition and winning.
The labs are well established and maintained. Old but good.

Dislikes

Eventhough the association has a volleyball cum basketball cum badminton court facility in the auditorium just in front of the college, they will never allow volleyball or basketball to participate there.
The events are repetitive and boring. Need to improve.

I applied to Government Engineering College - Thrissur, College of Engineering - Trivandrum, Thangal Kunju Musliar College - Kollam. The reason I didnt get into these colleges is because my rank in KEAM was low. You have to take KEAM exam to get into Engineering colleges in Kerala. If you have the sufficient rank to fill up the seats in tge college you are accepted.

MACE FOR ME

Likes

Another one is the social interaction. All members of our college are literally like a family. Seniors and juniors are really friendly and supportive of each other.
Next one is the technical facilities provided by the campus. All the necessities required for the growth of a real engineer, is provided by the campus management. It's placement records are quite impressive and desirable for any campus in Kerala.

Dislikes

Complex management system is good, but some times it can be so overwhelming.

Admission:

I had applied for same courses on Muthoot institute of science and technology, as well as Fisat angamaly etc. but I realised that more of government aided college like MACE would give me more exposure in terms of my professional career than studying in self financing colleges. Also I got both of my allotments in MACE. So I choose not to change my decision. Also the placement records were quite impressive than other colleges. Admission process of my college is quite simple. It takes about 3 - 4 hours including a seminar session. The eligibility is only to clear KEAM examination and should meet following rank requirements. Admission experience was great and it was like so technical.
